UX Designer

The Digital/UX Designer is responsible for design, front-end development, production, and maintenance of all SWF digital experiences, including but not limited to branded web-sites, retailer micro-sites, and mobile and social media applications. The digital designer also leads visualization and digital asset development including illustration, 3-d product and merchandising rendering, and video. Responsible for developing creative strategies and concepts in partnership with print designers, copy-writers, content developers, product managers, and IT developers.

UX/UI Design and digital strategy for digital experiences - 40%

• Define the structure and flow of the user experience through user interaction audits, wireframes, journey maps, prototypes, and taxonomies
• Establishment of design standards consistent with business objectives and brand guidelines
• Awareness of traffic, usage and engagement across media

Web page design, development, production and maintenance. - 40%

• Develop design concepts. Create wireframes, sitemaps, and mock ups
• Support creation of user-centered design interfaces in SWF websites
• Develop site structure strategies taking into account factors such as: persuasive architecture, usability, linking structure and metrics
• Collaboration with art directors and copy-writers to maintain brand cohesiveness
• Website development including programming and maintenance as needed

Project management/coordination. – 20%

• Participate in management of assigned projects throughout the project life cycle (strategy through implementation); including discovery, and initial assessment, program definition, creative development, program launch, measurement and reporting.
• Collaborate closely with IT web developers
• Work with internal departments, stakeholders and external vendors in planning, implementation and launch of projects including development of project plans
• Document issues and communicate with stakeholders
• Develop project and process documentation

• Proficiency in HTML and CSS development
• Knowledgeable in web site design standards and usability concepts for interactive design
• Proficiency in applications such as: Visual Studio, Axure, Photoshop, and InDesign. Experience with Adobe Scene7 Authoring Tools or with Content Management Systems (CMS) a plus
• Understanding of Sharepoint and .net based applications a plus
• Understanding of Websphere or other editors a plus
• Ability to analyze best possible solution based on user experience
• Experience with website activity reporting tools and success measurement standards
• Ability to adapt and willing to learn new tasks in fast paced, evolving environment
• Ability to problem solve
• Knowledgeable in best SEO usability practices
• Ability to work with a variety of resources and personalities, both internal and external
• Must be a self-starter, highly organized and deadline driven
