Day-to-day, the Senior Front-end Developer role consists of developing client-side technology in a dynamic, close knit, constructive team-based environment; your team will become your friends. Collaborate with design, UX and back-end developers to build successful commerce sites for industry-leading clientele that push front-end requirements. Communicate clearly and effectively; developers who struggle with “attention to details” need not apply. Act as a user advocate while maintaining a clear understanding of business requirements and scope of the project. Demonstrate expertise in the V in MVC. Mentor and provide guidance to peers and front-end developers. Present new technologies, approaches and ideas in a recurring department-wide meeting. • 3+ years experience in web development
• 1+ years experience in leading team projects (can be flexible on this if the experience is exceptionally relevant)
• Expert knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
• JavaScript (jQuery), AJAX, JSON
• Version Control (i.e. Git)
• Responsive design implementation experience
• Knowledge of accessibility
• Standards-compliant and cross-browser compatible code
• Firm understanding of progressive enhancement and graceful degradation

• UI/UX training
• Experience working with mobile applications or websites
• Information Architecture, wireframing, site mapping, etc. knowledge
• Experience with Ruby on Rails
