Summary
Assist the Benefits Manager and Director of Benefits with important tasks related to employee benefits, administration of the Family & Medical Leave Act and Personal Leave of Absence, as well as generally assist the department. Absolute confidentiality is required in each aspect of the position with regard to all employee and company matters.
Responsibilities
* Regular and consistent attendance. * FMLA and Personal Leave of Absence: assist the individuals responsible for these tasks with checklists, STOAT entries, creation of folders, monitoring of leave from beginning to end, appropriate UltiPro entries, filing, and communication with theatre/corporate management as required. * Process payments of insurance premiums while an employee is on FMLA and handle all repayments of insurance premiums when an employee returns from FMLA * Assist with preparation and review of required materials for health insurance mandates * Verify all monthly updates to employee’s contribution changes for 401(k) * Review PTO Audit report for any discrepancies in status vs. PTO listed in payroll system * Ensure all State/Local sick time is correctly entered in UltiPro to allow accrual * Prepare active-not-paid report for dissemination to GMs and follow up with UltiPro and/or management until report is cleared * Discounts for employees * Wellness initiatives * Order passes and maintain list for annual passes for retired employees * Military Leave entries in payroll system * Sick/vacation issues in payroll system * Assist with Corporate office events (lunch trucks, blood drives, flu shots, Lunch & Learn, etc.) * Assist Director of Benefits, Benefits Specialist/FMLA, and/or Benefits Clerk with special projects as assigned. * Assist with HR functions as directed
Ideal Candidate
* A high school education or equivalent is required * Previous experience with Benefits and/or Human Resources functions helpful * Must be detail-oriented and produce both a high quality and a high quantity of work in a timely manner * Must be able to work with minimal supervision, while maintaining daily contact with Director of Benefits, Benefits Specialist/FMLA and Benefits Clerk. * Desire to work in a fast-paced environment * Excellent computer skills * Excellent communication skills – both verbally and in writing with all levels of employees, field personnel, and corporate staff * Capable of handling a variety of tasks at the same time * Excellent organizational skills * Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals * Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs * Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions * Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables * Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & Database software)
