Summary
The Human Resources Business Partner role will provide HR site level support for the Infrastructure and Defense Product organization. Engaging as part of the HR business partner team in Texas, where we have 1000+ employees, this person will provide coaching and counseling for managers and employees to help resolve critical business issues at the site as well as other locations across the US. This person will also partner with other HRBPs to design and implement HR strategies, processes, and initiatives for these organizations.
Responsibilities
* Acting as front line support for employee and manager needs in a multisite environment as well as across US time zones * Partner with various business groups to develop and implement HR strategies to improve employee performance, engagement and other aspects of talent management * Consult with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues, attempting to resolve employee relations issues with a systematic approach * Deliver corporate and business group specific training in support of Corp training needs * Manage various TX site specific employee programs and activities * Engage in workforce planning and transition/change management activities that will support strategies that continue to build an efficient business culture * Position will partner with HR Connect, the HR shared services group, to continue the development and support of this model * Additional responsibilities include employee relations, manager and employee coaching, performance management, training, policy interpretation, employee communications, facilitation and site HR team support in conjunction with other HRBPs at the site * Reporting to the HR Director for IDP, located in Texas, this person will participate in company-wide HR program design projects on cross functional and cross-geographic teams
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum requirements are a Bachelor’s level degree plus a minimum of 3 - 5 years HR business partner experience, preferably in a high technology manufacturing environment * Must have at least 3 years direct experience in employee relations and performance management * Must have at least 3 years of experience in successfully developing, delivering and presenting HR programs for managers and employees * Must have experience with various HR systems and databases and be able to successfully compile workforce reports from these systems * Proven experience collaborating with managers or directing the work of employees * Strong analytical and problem solving aptitude is required * Proven experience coaching managers and employees is required * Must have strong project management and organizational skills * Strong MS Office skills required (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) * Must have an understanding and continued learning/knowledge of employment laws/state & federal that affect employees * This position will require an understanding of HR Policies and requires the individual to be able to communicate the policies at all levels of the organization * Some travel required * Flexibility needed to support clients in multiple time zones * Excellent communication skills required (listening, consolidation of detailed information, written messaging, etc.)
