Summary
SWC Technology Partners is searching for an experienced organization development and training professional to join our growing team. The Organization Development and Training Specialist is a key member of SWC’s Human Resources team. This individual will work in a highly collaborative environment and use instructional design and adult learning methodologies to analyze training needs, design and develop content, define measurement strategies to assess the effectiveness of learning programs, and manage company-wide tracking of all trainings. The individual will need to exercise a high-level of independent judgement and discretion while evaluating, designing, coordinating and delivering a comprehensive range of learning and education programs for all SWC employees. This requires interacting with all levels of staff, gaining a keen understanding of the business, collaborating with various internal and external business partners, and continuously looking for ways to enrich the employees’ knowledge and professional development.
Responsibilities
* Collaborates with business leaders throughout the organization to develop curriculum design, implementation and evaluation. * Analyzes and assesses training and development needs * Designs tools/programs with performance based outcomes * Creates training plans and curriculum that align with the department and individual business units’ objectives * Designs, develops, evaluates and updates training content, materials, manuals, tests and related training aids to ensure optimum effectiveness * Determines most effective instructional methods and tools based on assessment and/or specified training needs including individual training, group instruction, demonstrations, meetings, eLearning, workshops, refreshers, in person, virtual, and/or self-study. * Delivers and/or coordinates training covering a range topics in areas such as corporate, functional, operational, management and leadership, and professional development * Evaluates training and development programs and measures results. Modifies training programs when necessary to adapt to business or work environment changes. * Manages administrative functions necessary to deliver, document, and track training programs, ensuring legal compliance. This includes scheduling, employee notification, and arranging for facility set-up * Prepares and reports on training delivery and curriculum effectiveness * Develops train-the-trainer programs where applicable * Identifies vendor solutions to help meet business learning requirements and needs; and manages the vendor relationships * Participates in and provides leadership to assigned learning projects and HR cross-functional projects * Serves as a recognized positive change agent
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Human Resources, Education, Training and Development, Organizational Design, or related field * 4-7 years professional experience in a training capacity; Including adult learning, instructional design, and curriculum development utilizing blended learning approaches * Prior work experience employing instructional design principles and practices including adult learning methodology, interactive training and learning design, eLearning design principles, and designing for multi-generational audiences * Working knowledge of and experience with learning management systems * Ability to build collaborative relationships with all levels in the organization * Strong administrative, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver within scope, on time, and on budget * Demonstrated ability to anticipate, identify and plan for obstacles or barriers to learning and performance support solutions * Excellent oral and written communication skills required. * Proficient computer skills including Outlook and MS Office (e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint). * Intermediate experience in training development software such as Captivate, Articulate, or Lectora * Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer
