Marketing Coordinator

Reporting to the Marketing Services Manager for Kendall College, the Marketing Coordinator will work on the marketing services team focused on Kendall’s offline marketing including copy writing/editing, events and advertising as well as the blog and social media channels. This person will be in the know of all events and activity going on at Kendall and will post engaging content on our highly active social channels. In addition, the Marketing Coordinator will contribute content and ideas to the blog, create and gather input for compelling social posts as well as develop strategies to increase metrics. The role will work closely with the entire marketing services team to ensure that these important channels cohesively and effectively drive Kendall enrollment and other key revenue areas. This person will be organized, analytical and strategic and expected to be the marketing team expert in these channels.
- Lead strategy and execution on blog and social media efforts aimed at building relationships with various constituencies and driving brand awareness, interest and inquiry
- Work with the Digital Marketing Coordinator and Manager to maximize integration with website and other marketing and sales channels
- Work with other institutional departments that employ social media – coaching on best practices and guiding strategies to maximize effectiveness
- Develop analytics reports and practices to guide and optimize blog and social media efforts
- Contribute content and ideas to the existing Kendall College blog
- Assist in research and topic development for infographics, videos, events and other content marketing opportunities
- Assist Marketing Manager with writing email/collateral copy and editing existing documents
- Work with the Marketing Assistant and Alumni Relations Specialist in managing the database and developing student and alumni testimonials in written, oral, social or video form
- Assist with enrollment and TASTE event preparation and day-of logistics/social media; post-event debriefs and clean-up
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or related studies
- 1-3 years of experience in marketing, communications or related field; social media experience is mandatory
- Writing experience is mandatory
- Ability to edit and create images in Photoshop a plus
- Experience creating engaging social media content via Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Instagram and Linkedin and a solid understanding of how to track and measure performance; experience with Hootsuite a plus
- Ability to identify key KPI’s for blog and social channels
- Knowledgeable in content management systems; Wordpress experience a plus
- Understanding of reporting, metrics and optimization
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Superior time management skills, creative problem solving skills and strong initiative to complete projects on time; must be able to multi-task and balance multiple projects at a time
- Detail-oriented, curious and self-motivated
- A team-oriented and professional demeanor
