Summary
Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, you will be responsible for leading the overall HR strategy as well as a scope that evaluates and updates performance and compensation programs, recruiting processes, performance reviews, employee benefit planning, and other compensation and performance areas as required.
Responsibilities
* **Support**: Align Human Capital goals in support of the First Team to promote organizational roles and goals * **Vision and Execution**: Bringing ideas to life. It is more than thinking up new solutions. You will get your hands dirty and be responsible for contributing to the creation of these solutions in tangible ways. * **Recruiting**: Manage overall recruiting processes. We need top talent, and that means partnering with managers to identify and understand job specifications and hiring needs, drafting/updating job descriptions, and ensuring the onboarding process meets company requirements and provides a welcoming new hire experience. * **Retention**: Developing effective retention strategies will be a focus of this role. Developing retention strategies, establishing clear career path opportunities, and positively impacting the Kasasa culture in such a way that we are positioned to be a “Best Place to Work” Top 5 in the annual Austin Business Journal poll. * **Employee Relations**: Provide guidance and support to all employees on HR-related issues. Direct the development and execution of programs and strategies that empower our managers to plan, evaluate, develop, and improve the performance of their teams. * **Performance Management**: Oversee and enhance performance management processes. Support a culture of increased accountability and performance while developing key operational and performance metrics that are quantifiable and specific. Align performance requirements with business goals and objectives. * **Employee/Organization Development**: Cultivate employee engagement, retention, and professional development. Evaluate the organizational structure and impact positive changes. * **Training and Professional Development**: Develop curriculum and present training on a variety of leadership, management (new manager and experienced), and compliance topics. * **Risk Management and Compliance**: Promote a culture of compliance while monitoring compliance requirements. Ensure the company meets all federal, state, and local related compliance standards and requirements and that the company policies, procedures, and handbook are aligned with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. * **Benefits**: Manage the company’s health and welfare programs and compliance needs including FMLA, ADA, ACA, as well as COBRA and HSA administration. * **Payroll**: Work with finance to oversee payroll and timekeeping processes. This includes wages, benefits, and taxes consistent with company procedures and federal, state, and statutory wage and hour laws and reporting requirements. * **Compensation**: Manage the compensation program. Conduct salary surveys, provide compensation analysis and recommendations, and ensure that compensation program parameters support the business objectives. * **HR Process Improvement**: Take what we’ve got and make it better. Define and execute HR strategies that continually improve HR systems, workflows, and processes.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business management * 7 to 10 years HR experience, with 4-7 years in a progressive leadership role * Previous experience in a fast paced, start-up, or marketing services industry * Desire to take an active interest and investment in the company culture * Strong written/oral communication skills * Self-starter who can demonstrate critical thinking and on-the-spot problem solving with constantly changing priorities * Proactive and collaborative leadership style
