Summary
The Senior Human Resources Manager will take a leadership role in the current thriving and collaborative culture that enables employees to perform in accordance with Company values and objectives. Startup experience is required. Experience at Technology or Media companies preferred.
Responsibilities
* Develop, communicate, interpret and apply company policies, practices, and procedures in a consistent manner * Ensure compliance with federal and state laws * Manage equal employment opportunity and affirmative action programs * Utilize technology to enhance and measure results of HR programs * Prepare content for and coordinate the entire hiring activity for the company * Manage and execute all talent acquisition and onboarding of hires * Perform due-diligence background and reference checks * Develop, administer and update a comprehensive compensation program with periodic salary and benefit surveys for the Company * Coordinate the company’s performance review program * Manage the Company benefit programs including health benefits, 401k and workman’s compensation * Manage the broker relationships to achieve an overall cost effective benefit program * Work with in-house counsel to coordinate all visa applications and immigration issues * Determine the company’s training needs and implement training programs * Communicate effectively with all levels of staff * Orient new employees and problem solve benefits or general HR issues * Coach executives, managers, and employees in workplace issues * Supervise administration of Company equity program * Ensure that records and files are maintained in accordance with State and Federal employment laws and Company policy * Document all personnel actions
Ideal Candidate
* 5+ years previous experience in Human Resources * BA * Extensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws, ERISA, FMLA, COBRA, EEO, ADA, immigration, workplace safety, etc. * Demonstrated experience in developing compensation and benefit programs as well as staff training programs * Proven ability to personally recruit in the technology arena * Experience in building organizational talent and workforce plans * Possess strong persuasive and interpersonal skills honed in a demanding and high-performing work environment * Strong intellect. Ability to combine analytical reasoning, creativity and judgment * Highly ethical, can be trusted to do only the “right thing” for employees, shareholders, and managers * Strong organizational skills, creative problem solving, multi-tasking, and attention to detail. Self-starter, able to work independently and willing to roll up sleeves and get your hands dirty to do what needs to be done! * Maturity to handle confidential information discreetly * Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels within and outside the organization * Exceptional presentation and computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database, report writing, and creating website content. * Experience with Trinet and BambooHR is a plus * Professional certifications or graduate degrees are preferred
