Summary
Responsible for the delivery of quality technical training to the KP MAS user community. Incumbents will deliver quality technical training by providing support services to patient care and business teams in their work settings to facilitate the introduction, acceptance, and effective use of clinical and business systems (i.e., KP HealthConnect). In such cases, training support will be geared toward improving efficiency and optimizing the use of technical systems. Some incumbents will focus on classroom training; some on individual and/or team training in the workplace.
Responsibilities
* Manages special projects within the training team as assigned. * Consults and collaborates with IT and business staff to ensure accuracy of all training and documentation. * Develops and maintains contact with internal customers to ensure training and documentation needs are effectively met; proactively consult with KP management to determine needs and effect appropriate solutions. * Assists with the resolution of hardware, software, training and documentation problems as appropriate. * Ensures that deliverables produced meet quality, cost, and timely standards. * Initiates plans and organizes the development of new training programs, as required, including performing needs assessments and on-going analysis. * Works with the documentation team to develop training materials. * Designs, develops, and delivers systems training classes using appropriate training techniques. * Designs and develops curriculum including learning objectives, training plans, trainer notes, exercises, handouts, review activities, and audio-visual aids. * Develops training curriculum for new application as well as systems enhancements. * Develops assessments, evaluations, and learning activities to evaluate overall training effectiveness. * Assists less-experienced trainers in the development, revision and enhancement of training courses with respect to approach, medium, course content and delivery. * Performs other duties as directed.
Ideal Candidate
* Four (4) to seven (7) years of technical training experience, or an equivalent combination of technical training and professional clinical experience required. * Instructor-led classroom training and/or experience in other training delivery modes required. * Healthcare experience. * Bachelor's degree in information systems, business administration, health care administration or related field or equivalent years of experience required. **Additional Requirements:** * Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite required. * Satisfactory rating on analytical assessment required. * • Excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation, presentation, and listening skills. * • Understanding of Kaiser Permanente's current business practices. * Ability to motivate others. * Strong time management, priority setting, and problem-solving skills. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Proficiency or certification in one or more Epic products preferred.
