IT Lead

Intercom is a fundamentally new way for internet businesses to communicate with customers, personally, at scale. We’re looking to hire a hands-on IT leader who can operate at all levels who will build and grow a multi-site IT team that will develop our IT capabilities into a strategic company asset. • Create and execute on an IT strategy and roadmap for Intercom that supports the company’s vision and long-term company goals
• Build and champion a positive working relationship between IT and the rest of the company
• Provide onsite, frontline IT support to one of our main offices in Dublin or San Francisco
• Hire and develop a junior engineer to provide IT support in the other office
• Handle IT hardware and software purchasing, support and vendor relationships
• Maintain and improve the security of IT infrastructure and application platforms
• Own video conferencing and audio visual operations

• Prior experience being successful in an IT role
• Ability to help employees solve hardware and software problems with Apple & Android products, including laptops hardware, iPhones, and Apple software applications
• Experience with hosted productivity and communications applications, for example Google Apps, Trello, Asana, Basecamp and the ability to train and support employees on their use.
• Expertise to advise and help employees with Apple and Android mobile phone hardware
• Ability to support and assist employees using AV systems, both on-site and remote, including Apple TV, Google Hangouts, projectors, audio and videoconferencing
• Knowledge of administration of Apple computer products using enterprise management tools.
• Proficiency in a scripting language
