Summary
We’re looking to hire a hands-on IT leader who can operate at all levels who will build and grow a multi-site IT team that will develop our IT capabilities into a strategic company asset. If you’re technically excellent, with ambitions of becoming the CIO for the best product-focused software company of our generation - then this is the role for you.
Responsibilities
* Create and execute on an IT strategy and roadmap for Intercom that supports the company’s vision and long-term company goals * Build and champion a positive working relationship between IT and the rest of the company * Provide onsite, frontline IT support to one of our main offices in Dublin or San Francisco * Hire and develop a junior engineer to provide IT support in the other office * Handle IT hardware and software purchasing, support and vendor relationships * Maintain and improve the security of IT infrastructure and application platforms * Own video conferencing and audio visual operations * Do the best work of your life, raise the bar for IT excellence in our industry, make this opportunity your career defining role
Ideal Candidate
* Prior experience being successful in an IT role * Ability to help employees solve hardware and software problems with Apple & Android products, including laptops hardware, iPhones, and Apple software applications * Experience with hosted productivity and communications applications, for example Google Apps, Trello, Asana, Basecamp and the ability to train and support employees on their use. * Expertise to advise and help employees with Apple and Android mobile phone hardware * Ability to support and assist employees using AV systems, both on-site and remote, including Apple TV, Google Hangouts, projectors, audio and videoconferencing * Knowledge of administration of Apple computer products using enterprise management tools. * Proficiency in a scripting language * Possess wonderful passion and ambition for what you do * Desire to build and be part of the best IT team in the industry * Prior lead/manager experience is a bonus
