About Datadog
Datadog is the leading service for cloud-scale monitoring. It is used by IT, operations, and development teams who build and operate applications that run on dynamic or high-scale infrastructure. Because Datadog collects metrics and events from 100+ different technologies and services out of the box, including other monitoring tools, you can monitor your entire stack in one place, without any gaps.
Summary
Do you love networks, Apple MacBooks, enterprise WiFi and all the new fangled software as a service that runs modern startups (Slack, Github, PagerDuty, Google Apps, AWS, etc.)? Are you looking for that opportunity that will let you build your technical chops, and learn how to fix hard problems the right way? We’re on a mission to bring sanity to Dev & Ops and we need you your help. In order to do that we need to scale our internal network and the services we consume.
Responsibilities
* Join a tightly knit team solving hard problems the right way * Own meaningful parts of our infrastructure, have an impact, grow with the company * Help Datadog employees solve hardware and software problems with Apple MacBooks, iPhones, Android devices, Chromeboxes and more. * Secure the infrastructure that allows business operations and engineering people make magic happen.
Ideal Candidate
* You’re a master at one thing: tell us all about it * You tend to obsess over making things run well * You want to work in a fast, high growth startup environment * Configing it and configing it again are no big deal to you. * Basic small network administration (including things like WPA2 and 802.1x) are like a second language. * You know (or know where to find) everything one needs to know about Apple and Android mobile phones/tablets. * You have experience with software as a service solutions for productivity and communications. This includes things like Google Apps, GitHub, PagerDuty, Slack and more. * You’re an AV ninja (or pirate, your choice) and can deal with Chromeboxes, Hangouts, projectors and the like. * You can assist users of vastly different technical abilities without falling into a pit of despair. **Bonus points:** * You have experience corralling mobs of Apple MacBooks (e.g. knowledge of Apple product enterprise management). * You want to start your own company someday. Better start learning now.
