Product Manager for Smart Helmet OS

The Product Manager will be part of the team responsible for the operating system that runs on all DAQRI hardware platforms. He/She will perform all functions related to Software Product Management, align roadmaps with peers at various hardware component vendors (chipset, camera, sensors, display, etc.), and work with the company's Product Marketing team to accurately position and communicate key messages. He/She will also manage a select set of closely tied ecosystem partners. Areas of focus will include the kernel, integration of DAQRI’s multimedia, computer vision, connectivity, sensors, 3rd party tools (like XHQ), and support for new hardware form factors and core system engines into the OS.

* Meet with partners, customers and prospects to identify and prioritize requirements * Write functional product requirements documents (PRDs) and work with Engineering to define a product roadmap * Make classical product requirements/schedule tradeoffs in order to meet minimum viable product for launch * Specify the interfaces for integration between the OS and other key technology areas enabled by the chipsets and the external developer-facing API * Promote the OS through direct customer interaction and work with the outbound marketing team on collateral, speaking events, and articles * Act as the primary contact to a set of close ecosystem partners to ensure tight roadmap alignment with DAQRI's OS and vendor silicon roadmaps

**Core Requirements:** * 5+ years of experience in product management/development for software in one of the following end markets: wearables, embedded software/firmware, cellular wireless silicon, system on chip semiconductors * 5+ years of experience with the software development lifecycle * 5+ years of experience with mobile phone/tablet software architecture and expertise in mobile development * 5+ years of experience with API design * BA/BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering **Preferred Requirements:** * Knowledge of Android, iOS, Linux, Windows drivers, and multimedia * Knowledge of computer vision SDKs and concepts * Knowledge of UI frameworks and communications standards * Knowledge of key ecosystem partners/players
