Summary
The Director of Human Resources will work closely with leadership to drive culture and align human resources policies, practices and strategies in support of business objectives. He/she will be responsible for working with the executive team to drive talent management initiatives and career development to ensure that every individual has a plan and path to grow and advance. These initiatives will include: talent acquisition, training and career development, performance management, employee rewards and recognition employee retention, organizational design and change, employee relations and communication.
Responsibilities
* Own the employee experience: assume full responsibility for getting people operations right; create scalable programs to reach, attract, support, and develop talent; ensure HR programs empower people to achieve career and personal goals. * Oversee recruitment process in partnership with the head of the different respective departments for all open positions. * Screen all candidates and coordinate subsequent interviews with the appropriate department * Coordinate reference checks and job postings (where applicable) for all candidates * Conduct new hire orientations and other ancillary training * Hold initial 90-day employee reviews as well as yearly reviews with managers when applicable * Manage holiday, vacation, sick and other paid time off for all full-time employees * Track performance issues and indicate when/if employees should be placed on warning and conduct investigations when necessary. * Responsible for generating new hire/termination paperwork and maintaining employee files * Coordinate company-wide events, outings, birthdays and other internal celebratory affairs * Set up and coordinate companywide continuing education and training programs * Monitor employee compliance with all company policies and procedures many * Work with executive team to resolve any and all internal employee conflicts
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience * 3+ years related experience in a training or human resources environment * Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Power Point, Excel and Word) * Takes initiative and works challenges through to viable conclusions * Collaborates with others to ensure better outcomes and build strong networks * Strong communication skills; ability to listen to others and communicate their perspectives and multiple perspectives effectively * Problem solver with attention to detail * Project management * Ability to handle confidential information * Results Oriented; see projects and tasks through to completion * Organizational and Multi-tasking skills * Value centered individual who is committed to helping the company, its managers and employees perform at their best by having ready access and understanding of various talent tools & programs * Familiarity (experience a plus) with learning management systems and/or experience in developing, coordinating or delivering training
