Summary
Odyssey is looking for a HR Coordinator to join our team. This role is focused on overseeing the Human Resources/Experience and office needs for our NYC location. This position provides an opportunity to enhance your HR skills and both learn from and add to the culture at Odyssey. This role would be ideal for entry-level candidates looking to enhance their HR skills on a full-time basis or those candidates with more experience who are looking to share their knowledge on a part-time basis.
Responsibilities
* Work with teams across the organization to build HR confidence and accountability * Oversee day to day HR needs / manage employee relations for NY office * Build strong relationships and collaborate with NY and Indy teams * Assist with the onboarding and orientation of new hires * Work with internal Culture Council to drive Culture initiatives company-wide * Act as backup for ADP Workforce Now, and help develop ADP as a tool for Odyssey communications in partnership with HR Indy * Provide a positive attitude to all employee inquiries, ensuring accurate and timely answers and advice * Liaison for NY employees on payroll & benefits issues in partnership Indy team * Maintain compliance and understanding of federal and state regulations concerning employment practices * Provide support in the development and implementation of programs encompassing all areas of HR, including training, development and performance management * Provide a positive attitude to all employee inquiries, ensuring accurate and timely answers and advice * Assist in contributing ideas for improvement of departmental processes, procedures and reporting * NYC office management/facilities liaison with WeWorks office
Ideal Candidate
* 2-3 years of HR experience, preferably in online media/technology, within a start-up environment * Experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus * Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills * Organizational master, highly detail-oriented, and can prioritize and re-prioritize based on changing business needs * Proven track record of effective multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment * An entrepreneurial spirit and ability to thrive in a high-energy company and work independently * Proactive problem solver who is solution oriented * Must have a positive and energizing attitude * Google Sheets/Excel and Google Docs/PowerPoint guru * Must be able to work in the United States for any employer
