Summary
Ibotta is seeking an experienced and creative business development pro to be our Head of Marketing Partnerships to join our fast-growing team. Ibotta is a pioneer in mobile commerce and our leadership position creates many opportunities for innovative and impactful partnerships. We need a leader who can see the strategic value to both sides in a partnership and navigate partner organizations to get them launched effectively. This role will be responsible for concepting, creating and driving key partnerships to deliver against revenue and user acquisition goals. The Head of Marketing Partnerships will represent Ibotta to external partners and present Ibotta’s partnership strategy and progress to Ibotta’s executive leadership. In this role, the Head of Marketing Partnership will liaise with the Senior Leadership Team and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, execution, and optimization of programs.
Responsibilities
* Lead Business Development * Identify, contact, engage and manage prospective and active strategic partners across multiple verticals * Educate potential partners on the value Ibotta can bring to their businesses through attribution or cross-promotion * Architect mutually beneficial commercial agreements * Act as the expert across Ibotta’s syndication and affiliate programs * Maintain pipeline and forecast in an accurate and thorough manner * Shape the partnership strategy and roadmap(s) * Partner with Chief Marketing Officer to shape the overall marketing partnerships strategy * Build syndication and affiliate programs * Deliver against user acquisition targets * Establish partnerships strategy, roadmap, positioning * Oversee go-to-market * Meet download targets by partnering with key brands, retailers, and corporations, among others, to drive in-kind trades * Build partnerships team * Develop and implement effective metrics that quantify progress and demonstrate success of partnerships team * Grow and develop the marketing partnerships team
Ideal Candidate
This candidate will immediately evaluate and optimize current partnership strategies to identify new areas of opportunity. They will focus on high potential partnerships to maximize performance against user acquisition goals. They will seek out potential partners and build programs that result in Ibotta revenue and in-kind trades which drive app downloads and/or app usage. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of mobile commerce and the nuances associated with building successful partnerships. * MBA degree with a minimum of 7+ years of Business Development at a major corporation, startup, or integrated agency required * World class written and verbal communication skills; ability to develop client pitch decks from scratch and communicate those messages to senior clients * History of generating growth and awareness through partnerships, and executing related programs, in a fast-paced, dynamic and entrepreneurial setting * In-Kind or Revenue-generating business development skills * Proven ability to identify prospects and persuasively communicate Ibotta value and programs to existing and potential partners (i.e. Hunter vs. Farmer) * Demonstrated success in networking to secure and grow large, long-term relationships. * Experience developing strategies with proficiency across present and emerging mobile/online/offline platforms and channels * Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop exceptional documentation for client presentations, RFP's, and other as required * Experience using qualitative/quantitative research/insights to drive program development and measurement of results * Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders (internal and external) while managing and leading a team * Ability to travel up to 50% * Mobile, Attribution, or User Acquisition Partnership experience a plus
