Summary
We are seeking an executive-level marketing leader to drive and accelerate growth, lead a talented group of performance-driven marketers, and shape the future of our brand. You are an online marketing pro and a leader with a collaborative style, a strong sense of urgency and a passion for enabling people to take the hassle out of their jobs. An ideal candidate is someone who has a proven track record of using marketing channels to drive massive growth in a SaaS setting. You should be passionate about data and testing, able to collaborate effectively with multiple parties and key players, capable of actively mentoring a team of marketers, comfortable with working toward aggressive goals in a fast-paced environment, not apprehensive about testing new ideas, and committed to our mission and core values.
Responsibilities
As the Vice President of Marketing, you will be part of the executive team reporting directly to the CEO. You will accelerate our demand, conversion rate, and revenue growth, and build and lead a world-class marketing organization. You will drive the marketing roadmap, our brand story, and the strategic vision for all When I Work products and web properties. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing all marketing operations, focusing specifically on scaling efforts and developing new initiatives within the areas of demand generation, corporate marketing (branding and PR), and product-enabled growth and user acquisition. You will also oversee all aspects of lifecycle marketing, content marketing, SEO, CRO, paid search, social media, corporate marketing, email marketing, mobile, and analytics. You will pioneer the next generation of marketing platforms, build programs that scale, emphasize speed to market, and drive ROI across the When I Work portfolio of products, which includes: Scheduling, Time & Attendance, and WorkChat Messaging. You’ll be managing a team of bright, growth-driven marketers who are comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment. Your team will require an experienced, hands-on leader and mentor with a well-rounded marketing background who can help them prioritize ideas, execute on projects, collaborate effectively with other departments, and advance their skills. To be successful as the head of the Marketing department, you will be expected to practice and promote an aggressive go-to-market attitude and bullish testing and iteration to enable a data-driven environment. The executive team will rely on you to manage the entire marketing team P&L, continue building and nurturing the marketing team, and use your experience and ideas to build scalable marketing programs that automate and streamline growth.
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum of 10 years of progressive marketing leadership experience with a collaborative management style and significant executive presence. * Experience marketing SaaS-based solutions to SMB and mid-market businesses. * Have built and led a B2B marketing for a company that grew 100%+ YoY for 3 or more consecutive years. * Proven ability to communicate with senior executives about marketing strategy, analytics, ROI, and more based off a rapidly evolving strategy. Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-growth startup environment with evolving responsibilities. * An aggressive go-to-market attitude with a proclivity to experiment and fail fast. * Highly analytical with a “Marketing is a science, not an art” belief system. * Looks at success as something that is clearly measurable vs. qualitative. * A passion for helping small business and mid-market sized companies be successful. * Empathy for a diverse range of end-users.
