Summary
Autotrader is looking for a talented Product Manager for our OEM Client Product group. They will be managing digital advertising products that are sold to Automotive Manufacturers. Leveraging unique advertising products, our goal is to match the right buyers with the right sellers while making the process of buying and selling a car easier. The role is responsible for overall product success as measured by revenue growth (short and long-term), customer and consumer satisfaction/loyalty, adoption, and product performance. Up to 15% travel is expected to spend enough time with clients to develop a keen understanding of their needs. We are seeking hard working, intelligent problem solvers that have a strong natural curiosity for the world. Ideal candidates will be trustworthy leaders that can clearly communicate a vision so that people follow them because they want to, not because they have to.
Responsibilities
* Strategy * Identifying market opportunities and evaluating the competitive landscape * Defining product roadmaps to communicate the vision of the product and upcoming investments * Creating business plans to secure funding for the roadmap * Planning * Developing go-to market strategies and value propositions * Identifying key use cases and KPI’s for the products * Working with teams on internal and external launch support * Evaluation * Understanding the sales performance of a product, who’s buying and why * Monitoring and communicating product profitability * Leading market tests and pilots * Ensuring products are delivering expected value to clients * Engaging with the Sales team and clients to understand the market need
Ideal Candidate
* College Degree (BA/BS, or advanced degree) * 3-5 years of experience in Product Management or Business Development related positions * Successful candidates will have experience with; * Identifying market opportunities * Developing and launching new products or features * Developing market assessments and business cases * Identifying strategic partnerships * Developing concept and product definitions * Product positioning and launching new products * Strong personal skills, ability to build trust with teams and clients quickly * Excellent written, presentation and listening skills * Strong problem solving experience * We prefer experience in one or more of the following areas * Digital Media/Advertising * Internet/Mobile Products * Automotive Industry * Experience and understanding of the automotive ecosystem including OEMs, Dealers and Certified Pre-Owned is a plus.
