Summary
Under general supervision, plans and executes product strategy development, pricing, product support, and/or promotional initiatives. The Marketing Specialist will own the execution of the print product strategy and marketing objectives. This includes gathering and evaluating pertinent data, statistics, customer trends and market research information to meet the overall organization objectives. The position will be responsible for developing and managing project management of key product marketing initiatives. This role will help communicate the voice of the customer during product solution development and execution, working with Product Marketing, Promotions, Sales, Operations, Finance, Sales, Network Solutions, IT, eCommerce and other stakeholders to insure that we deliver compelling products at the right time with the right cost structure that positions us above the competition.
Responsibilities
* Own and manage the project timelines in support of FedEx Office’s Print Solutions. * Provide project management/marketing and execution support for FedEx Office Print products, services and solutions. * Perform frequent analysis and research on business and marketing capabilities and identifies opportunities to support revenue and profit objectives. * Develop and implement project plans aimed at growing the revenue and profit of FedEx Office. Print products, services and solutions. * Analyze and communicate product and project performance. * Support the FedEx Office Retail, Online Channel by working with key channel partners, product partners and customer segmentation managers to understand the voice of the customer and correlate research with product portfolio goals. * Lead or participate in the identification of business requirements needed for systems that support Product Marketing functions. * Maintain strong ties to front line operations and key business partners to ensure successful product management/execution * Lead and participate on cross-functional teams to support key product initiatives
Ideal Candidate
**Knowledge / Skills / Abilities** * Knowledge of Sales and Product Marketing theory, practices and technologies as well as FedEx features of service and systems extremely desirable. * Excellent communications skills. * Demonstrated business acumen for product marketing management and proven ability to apply marketing fundamentals * Experience in building developing go-to-market plans, product marketing, merchandising strategy, leading research projects and in leading cross-functional teams. * Experience in segmentation analysis, retail product management/marketing and retail execution * The successful candidate is comfortable working in a time-sensitive environment, can make decisions when faced with minimal or contradictory data and can communicate across different audience levels. * Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, at all levels of management, with demonstrated ability to influence and persuade * Strong work ethic and commitment to learning * Demonstrated drive, confidence and risk taking * Proven ability to multitask, prioritize among multiple demands, gather adequate information before making timely decisions * Strong team-player with ability to establish and maintain relationships, internal and external * Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook) **Qualifications** * Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in marketing, computer science, finance or related business discipline. * Two (2) years work experience in marketing, sales administration or advertising or one (1) year associate-level experience in Global Marketing or Communications. * Knowledge of market research, pricing, forecasting and financial analysis. * Good basic quantitative and analytical skills. Good organizational skills. * Strong human relations and communication skills. Customer focused orientation. * A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.
