The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of supporting the Marketing Department, including product management, brand management, sports marketing, creative services and channel marketing teams. This role reports directly to the Powersports Marketing Manager, but will support the entire team in helping organize meetings, collateral, samples, presentations and shipping. Prioritizing and taking initiative to coordinate the team to ensure on time completion of tasks is critical, as well as following-up on outstanding action items.
- Make the servicing of our athletes a competitive advantage across all facets of Sports Marketing.
- Travel extensively to race events throughout the year.
- Build and strengthen relationships within Action Sports for fast and effective talent scouting.
- Support the build of marketing activation plans for contracted athletes including: advertising and PR usage, online and social media opportunities, appearances and other activation opportunities.
- Work with product marketing management, brand marketing, R&D and sales to utilize athlete assets.
- Coordinate administrative program operations: order and track promotional product for athletes & teams, develop a filing/tracking system for program related correspondence.
- Work closely with Brand Marketing Team to identify events that are in line with and support brand plans/objectives.
- Responsible for all logistics related to event attendance, including; set up, tear down, manning of the booth, maintaining product displays, merchandising, communicating with consumers, etc.
- Generates social media content (photography, video, reports, etc.) for related outlets
- To support sales efforts, travel to retail and provide product clinics and demonstrations, communicate the Bell story, assist with merchandising, etc.
- Act as brand ambassador to our athletes and the community.
- Support trade show activities.
- Building product samples
- Assisting with meeting and Event prep (collecting, packing, shipping)
- Hotel & Badge management for meetings, shows and events
- Assist at regional events: packing, shipping, on-event-site support if applicable (some travel may be required)
- Data entry for B2B and B2C
- General data entry
- Assisting as needed in preparation for photo shoots (on-site and off-site) Product order entry (SAP)
- Handling requests from Sales managers and reps
- Managing presentation
- Assisting with catalog execution
- Appropriation Approval (AA) routing
- Filing and tracking contracts
- Processing Purchase Order (PO) requests and Invoice payments
- Preparing for Innovation Road (IR) presentation and sample coordination
- Print proofing
- Store checks: purchase/pick up competitive product
- Plus other miscellaneous tasks within the department
Education and Training:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field or equivalent work experience
- 1-3 years marketing and or sales experience
- Advanced skills in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to demonstrate effective delivery against the sports marketing goals in a timely, cost effective manner.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of sports marketing, including budgetary awareness and cost effectiveness.
- Travels 45 – 60%.
- Excellent communication and personal skills are critical
- Candidates should have strong knowledge of Action Sports and the ability to interact, network and build credibility for both themselves and BRG Sports Brands across a complex and competitive industry.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and see projects through from start to finish.
- Detail oriented and organized;
- Strong project management skills with the ability to liaise with a complex number of stakeholders.
- Collaborative leader who works well in a team environment.
- Outgoing personality and friendly demeanor with all manner of consumers and dealers
- Self-starter with the ability to plan logistics and travel accommodations
