Summary
E*TRADE FINANCIAL is looking for a dynamic Product Manager to join our Menlo Park or Jersey City Global Requirements Team. The Product Manager plays a major role in shaping and delivering digital solutions for the Cash Management, Marketing, Trading and Brokerage Operations lines of business. The Product Manager will work closely with the stake holders to understand the purpose of the project, the benefits that the business will realize, and the functionality required to make the effort successful. The Product Manager will be responsible for thinking through the complexities of the system and scaling the documentation effort to effectively communicate and deliver the solution. The Product Manager will be involved in all phases of a project from discovery to post-implementation support, facilitating collaboration across the business, technology, design and user experience teams to ensure a clear understanding of the product. Product Manager s are typically assigned to larger, more complex projects or work on several smaller projects in parallel.
Responsibilities
* Assist in shaping and delivering digital solutions for clients that solve tangible business problems * Lead interviews to define business goals, elicit business requirements and understand business processes * Determine documentation needs and manage the functional documentation efforts * Define and document functional requirements, business process flows, and diagrams * Prioritize requirements collaboratively with business stakeholders, user experience, and technology partners * Facilitate client decision-making at the project team level through formal and informal working sessions and reviews * Review design deliverables for consistency and as a source of requirements * Work with QA to develop testing strategy, identify test cases and participate in UAT * Serve as a subject matter expert * Plan and scope product manager work streams * Contribute actively to internal functional requirement review sessions * Limited travel may be required.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Finance, Economics, or MIS. Master’s Degree is a plus. * Minimum 2 years product management or business analysis experience. * Minimum 2 years experience in the brokerage or securities industry. Knowledge of stocks, bond, options, and mutual funds investing from personal investing experience is a significant plus and can substitute for brokerage experience. * Experience in Trading, Marketing, Cash Management and Online Brokerage * Ability to interpret client pains, issues and requests into actionable requirements (for feature enhancement) * Experience in interviewing / fact gathering, negotiating, and making technical presentations * Technical writing experience, including specific experience in the preparation of business requirements, functional specification, or software specification documents. * Proven ability to operate under tight deadlines while maintaining multiple projects * Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills * Experienced in planning work for assigned work streams * Application development experience and high level technical knowledge helpful
