Summary
The Account Manager will execute with Corbion’ s leading product portfolio at multi-national ingredient and food manufacturers across the United States, with some global responsibility likely. The account manager serves as a key member of the sales management team contributing to the strategic direction of customer relationships and our business growth. Self-driven, independent, strong and adaptable, with a positive, high performance teamwork attitude is a must. Together we are shaping a strong future for you, our company and our customers. As Account Manager, you will manage and further develop key customer relationships with a significant base business. 50% minimum travel should be expected. We strive to fully align with our customers, engaging to the highest level of contribution possible. Corbion Key Account Managers lead sales development through consistent interaction, resource fulfillment, project collaboration, and creative innovation.
Responsibilities
* Launch new products within assigned and prospect accounts * Develop, plan and implement strategic selling plans, qualify customer targets, achieve sales objectives including volume, profit and expense to key accounts. * Lead the efforts to become a critical supplier for new products and new uses for current products, providing sustainable solutions for customers. * Partner with R&D, customer insights, business development and sales management in the identification and delivery of new product ideas and collaborate on trends, innovative products, concepts, and product uses. * Conduct business reviews with accounts and develop opportunities to penetrate accounts.
Ideal Candidate
* BA/BS or advanced degree in food science, business, or related disciplines. * Prior experience selling to and managing National /Key/ Global accounts. Relationships or past sales contact with key customers preferred. * Minimum 5 years sales experience; ingredient sales preferred. * Experience or aptitude for CRM (Customer Relation Management) tools. * Strong listening, negotiating and closing skills. Must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, strong written skills, creativity, and adaptability to changing situations. * Experience and ability to call on the highest level executives required. * Project management and technical aptitude strongly desired. * Ability to travel at least 50% * Located anywhere in the US and work remote.
