Summary
The Regional Key Account Manager executes go-to market strategies in the Industry / Grocery Stores that are located in Northern NJ Markets. The primary responsibility will be for this individual will be to build the business within their area of responsibility but will also be responsible for managing existing accounts. They will also be responsible for maintaining and growing profitable, sustainable business within their mid-size Grocery Chain /Retail Markets within the Northern NJ Markets. The objective is to achieve & exceed sales revenue, profitability and other budgetary objectives. The role involves strategic planning, market competitiveness, strategic selling, pricing and resource management.
Responsibilities
* Sales: Account management includes setting short and long term objectives for each account. Grow sales and profits through innovative products, account penetration and new account acquisition. Work cross functionally to create value within Regional Grocery Store accounts by using Marketing Tools, Product Benefits, and Consumer Insights. Finally, collaboration with R&D after validating projects have a high probability to succeed. * Business Management: Manage annual sales, budgets and customer expense. Analysis monthly sales and ROI on resources that have been invested. Ability to explain major differences and suggest corrective actions and help implement these actions. * Strategic Planning / Vision: Create the vision for future growth; product portfolio, customer profile, triangle sales approach, pricing strategies and future resources * Misc: Inform Sales Director and marketing about competitors’ activities. Work with marketing to validate technologies and with consumers; building a strong story for our technologies, products and services offered
Ideal Candidate
* Selling Private Label and Branded products into Grocery Chains a plus * Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in direct selling in the Grocery Chain /Retail industry (food industry) with proven results in relationship building, negotiation skills, strategic insight and concept thinking. Must have an ability to influence, advice, and manage corporate accounts. * An in-depth knowledge of Marketing & Sales to develop new concepts, ideas with a creative and goal oriented objective. * A broad knowledge of our product range, technical knowledge, and product applications. * Requires a good knowledge of the baking ingredients market and industry related businesses * Excellent social competencies, respect and understanding of diverse cultures and languages for relationship building. * Knowledge of applicable software programs to communicate via email and develop activity memos, reports, and spreadsheets. * Keen understanding of financial issues relating to sales and profit. Must be able to analyze and solve problems with a financial perspective. * Excellent oral communication, written, and presentation skills. Superior project management, time management and organizational skills. * Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing is preferred

*Travel up to 15%-40% - Primary time will be spent with customers in New Jersey.
