Summary
This role supports ConAgra Foods’ Consumer Foods which includes Brand, Sales and Food service teams. Responsible for managing several areas of Human Resources such as recruiting, labor relations, training, EEO/AAP, benefits, employee relations, and compensation. Assists top management in planning, development, implementation and evaluation of HR activities. The successful candidate will possess high integrity, is trustworthy, and shows managerial courage, strong business acumen, is politically savvy, can be an effective member of a team, possesses strategic agility, has a drive for results, has process management skills, promotes problem resolution and makes good decisions in a timely manner. Must be able to work in a highly “matrixed” organization across multiple locations. This role requires the formation of strong partnership relationships and influence with the leadership teams and enterprise HR organization to best support the business’ key strategic people initiatives.
Responsibilities
* Provides day to day business strategic HR partnership and consultation for assigned functional team and functional leadership. * Provide coaching and advises management on effective ways to administer HR programs and manage and resolve complex employee issues. * Co-create – with business & HR leadership – business-specific human resource strategies, aligned with the needs of each respective business and Conagra Way * Leads the implementation of approved employee relations' policies and practices, providing professional and technical assistance to functional leadership. * Leads overall organization of Human Resource programs within the assigned function, including but not limited to, EEO, unemployment, litigation, retention, termination, turnover, and severance issues * Develop and deliver effective strategies/programs in the following areas: Employee Engagement, Staffing, Organizational Development, Talent Management, Training, Compensation & Benefits, Labor Relations, Change Management and Diversity & Inclusion. Delivery of such strategies will be in partnership with the organization’s Centers of Excellence as appropriate * Implements approved programs and policies to ensure enhancement and acceptance of diversity and proper EEO/AAP legal compliance. * Facilitate, in partnership with staffing organization and the business partners, recruitment pipeline for current openings, candidate selection and future talent needs. * Design and execute ad hoc reporting, conducts analysis and draws conclusions that aide in making sound business decisions. * Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related degree required; Desirable but not essential would be a Masters degree in Business or Organizational Development. SPHR/PHR preferred * Minimum 7 years of professional experience in Human Resources * Ability to deal with ambiguity, change in a dynamic business environment as well as conflict management and mediation skills * Demonstrated ability to develop strong consulting relationships and influence business leaders through coaching and partnership * Able to quickly synthesize information, new ideas, process and/or changes and understand business impacts * Strong problem solving skills which will allow you to identify problems, recognize root causes and bring innovative solutions to the forefront * Demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task with a strong sense of urgency and have flawless execution commitment to deliver results * Demonstrated experience managing projects including developing a plan and executing it to completion * Effectively communicate with others: defined by behaviors such as listening actively, communicating effectively and clearly, relaying important information to others as needed: communicating in writing in a clear, concise manner; using appropriate methods to guide group meetings; fostering openness; sharing information all the time . * Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). * Experience with PeopleSoft, Workday or other HRIS * Demonstrated experience with ERISA, EEOC and DOL regulations, employment sourcing, communications, human relations, and management skills * Demonstrated experience with benefits and compensation administration, market pricing, labor law, and organizational development
