Summary
The Vice President of Human Resources is responsible to lead Belcan’s human resource vision, strategy, and development by directing all of the people functions across the corporation. Functions are in accordance with policies and practices of Belcan, ethical and social consciences of business and society, employment laws (domestic and international), employment regulations, and administrative rulings of governmental organizations. This role is responsible for the strategic human resource planning to position the company for continued success by being aware of policies, practices, and trends within the industry. The VP of Human Resources will work closely with Belcan’s Executive Leadership Team, HR, Recruiting, and Benefit managers to create a desired workplace culture, healthy work environment, engage offices operations, and instill a productive workforce. This role will supervise Human Resource and Benefits related employees.
Responsibilities
* Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate the organization's human resource function, performance, and management of financial measures of the Human Resources Department. * Maintain knowledge of international human resource policies, programs, laws, and issues. Understand the differences of domestic and international policies and programs and coordinate the integration of all such programs. Manage compliance standards, Department of Labor, HR policies nationwide and internationally. * Participate in the development of the corporation's plans and programs as a strategic partner, particularly from the perspective of the impact on people. * Translate the strategic and tactical business plans into HR strategic and operational plans. * Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning of new program strategies. Regulatory actions to attract, motivate, and retain resources. * Develop progressive compensation and benefits programs to provide motivation, incentives, and rewards for effective performance. * Enhance, develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures of the organization to improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation. * Create programs to allow the corporation to promote the full development and performance of all employees. * Develop human resource planning models to identify competency, knowledge, and talent gaps; develop specific programs for the filling of the gaps. Areas of activity will include talent management through proper succession planning programs for key contributor and management positions, training and development programs for preparing employees for more significant responsibilities, and general business development programs to enhance employee knowledge and understanding of the business. * Establish appropriate policies and programs for effective management of resources, including but not limited to programs for employee relations, affirmative action, sexual harassment, employee grievances, external education, and career development. * Coordinate the activities, programs, and strategic plans of Human Resource departments throughout the corporation: * Lead the HR team, supporting remote locations, growth, and acquisitions in areas of engagement, HR generalist, benefits, compliance, and communication. * Ensuring HR operational excellence and efficiency; oversight of performance process, compensation plans, benefit package, ethics, employee relations, and engagement. * Manage metrics and general oversight of performance, attrition, hiring, employee engagement, education planning, development program, and salary scales. * Manage benefit comparison plans and have oversight of personnel, legal, and compliance matters. * Coordinate mergers of human resource systems and key processes through all current and new office locations. Ideal Candidate
* Master’s in Business, Management, Human Resources or other related field * HR Certification preferred * 5+ years of Executive HR Experience, with a minimum of 10 years in HR Management or Generalist experience leading to Executive HR Role * Exceptional communication and facilitation skills * Ability to lead multi-functional teams * Microsoft Office Proficient * Travel required
