Summary

To provide overall financial leadership and guidance relative to Overhead Budget Development and Tracking, Forward Pricing Rate development / submittal and Financial Planning & Analysis for Ordnance Systems. Inc. (OSI)

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development of OSI Overhead Budgets
  • Oversee development and submission of Forward Pricing Rates
  • Support the business to ensure compliance with FAR, DFAR, CAS and TINA requirements
  • Oversee Financial Planning & Analysis requirements for OSI
  • Lead efforts related to generation of the IBPP, QBR, MMR, and resultant communications to functional leads
  • Ability to identify and analyze financial risks and opportunities
  • Knowledge of the FAR, DFAR, TINA, CAS, Government audit and management agencies, estimating systems and disclosure statements.
  • Support and/or lead negotiations of forward pricing rate proposals.
  • Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety, health, and environmental objectives and policies.
  • Shares responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor, including preparation of PDR objectives, and training needs.
Ideal Candidate

Required Skills and Education:

  • Bachelor Degree and 12 years relevant or six additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience working on Department of Defense (DOD) or other government contracts required.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Working knowledge of the FAR (Federal Acquisitions Regulations), DFAR (Defense FAR), TINA (Truth in Negotiations Act) and CAS (Cost Accounting Standards).
  • Good planning, time management and organizational skills.
  • Sound interpersonal skills when interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with Company personnel and customers.
  • Ability to use computers to prepare appropriate reports and documents.
  • Ability to make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles, and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Ability to develop/demonstrate research and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal and external customers.

Preferred Skills and Education:

  • Experience leading or managing a finance team.
  • Experience with fixed price and cost-type contracts.
  • MBA.
