Summary
WCCG is seeking to hire a Chief of Staff for its Austin or New York office. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief of Staff is a highly visible position central to the continued growth, efficiency and success of World Class Capital Group. The Chief of Staff will work closely with the CEO in leading and executing the CEO’s strategic initiatives, projects, and deals, both internally and externally. He or she will have a strong background in finance, business operations, and data analytics, and preferably is currently working in real estate private equity. The Chief of Staff’s primarily responsibility is ensuring the priorities of the CEO are executed upon, and will work with team members across the firm to ensure this objective is completed. This is a unique opportunity to work very closely with the CEO of a growing real estate investment company with an established national presence. Travel with the CEO will be frequent and required.
Responsibilities
* Conduct research, analyze and interpret information, problems and proposals to ensure objective and complete information is provided to the CEO for decision making * Develop and maintain highly productive and strategic external relationships and partnerships for the benefit of the organization, many of whom are direct relationships of the CEO * Oversee and manage a wide variety of highly prioritized projects, as well as complete ad-hoc projects, requests, and analysis for a variety of investment related requests * Arrange and participate in investor, partner, and strategic business meetings, conferences and negotiations; take minutes, provide advice, and conduct follow-up correspondence * Create executive communications and presentations for a number of internal and external forums * Coordinate meetings and events for the CEO * Provide information and advice to the CEO regarding key strategic issues, and is accountable for implementing decisions made by the CEO * Provide a strong link between the CEO’s office and other departments within the company, and between the company and external parties, as a representative of the CEO in dealings with both internal and external communications * Provide organizational support to the CEO, helping to ensure action items, deadlines, and deliverables are completed * Draft reports and news releases and conduct verbal and written correspondence on behalf of the CEO
Ideal Candidate
**Competencies** * Strong background in finance and preferably accounting * Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations * Excellent time management and organizational skills * Proven and progressive leadership skills * Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style * Strong ability to coach and develop staff * Demonstrated ability to problem solve and resolve conflict * Proven success in organization development and growth * High level of professional maturity and integrity and a solid work ethic * Ability to maintain confidential information * Possess high analytical skills, be able to see patterns, be a fast thinker and a good decision maker * Strong writing and presentation skills, including competency in excel and powerpoint * Ability to maintain company confidentiality in all aspects of the position **Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (MBA is preferred) * Management experience (3+ years) * Extensive real estate investment or private equity industry experience (5+ years) * Strong visionary with proven leadership qualities and an entrepreneurial mindset * Political awareness, professional expertise, financial orientation, self-starting initiative, organization astuteness and team spirit * Ability to select, develop and motivate necessary management talent to maintain the company's overall objectives * Strong interpersonal skills such as leadership, communication, persuasion, motivation, loyalty, and openness * Ability to travel with the CEO up to 75% and on short notice U.S. work visa / authorization **Personal Qualities:** * Resonates with World Class Capital Group’s mission: Identify Opportunity.
