Summary
The Director, Business Development Finance will support the evaluation, planning and execution of key strategic initiatives, including M&A (acquisition and integration), new product launches and strategic partnerships. The individual will work closely with the business, investor, strategy and product management teams to identify and coordinate the key finance activities required to support these key strategic initiatives. The individual will also work very closely with the larger Finance organization in order to align the appropriate resources and work as a key liaison between the businesses and the Finance team in planning and executing on these initiatives.
Responsibilities
* Represent the Finance organization in cross-functional project teams and coordinate commitments and efforts within the finance team * Understand the interdependencies between business, product, investor and finance needs * Develop excellent understanding of the objectives of new products or partnerships and ensure our finance teams are well prepared to execute and effectively support these key initiatives * Identify, define, analyze and document requirements of finance teams to ensure they are addressed/remediated in the planning phase of the strategic initiative * Support the development and execution of detailed project management plans to successfully complete all Finance M&A milestones and activities (from due diligence through completed integration), and develop timeline for post-close integration activity * Partner with FP&A to analyze the financial implications of strategic initiatives * Develop strong relationships with business partners and finance team * Clearly and concisely present findings to executives and senior leaders. * Challenge status quo – identify opportunities for process improvement
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s Degree, preference for Finance, Accounting, Economics or Engineering, from top-tier University. MBA from a highly regarded business school preferred. CPA a plus. * 8+ years of experience in relevant Corporate Finance, Accounting or Treasury role, with 2+ years of active M&A integration experience * Strong cross-functional experience in finance and technology. Experience with financial services and/or technology companies preferred * Demonstrable problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills; strategic and creative thinking and attention to detail * Comfortable with ambiguity and interested in bring clarity to new situations * Strong influencer and collaborator. Excellent oral and written communication skills * Strong project management skills. Detail oriented and highly organized * Must be self-directed, able to work independently, as well as work in a fast-paced environment * Be collaborative and enjoy working on a dynamic, collegial team
