Summary
The HR Business Partner will work independently with the management team to help interpret and implement company policies related to human resources, organizational and employee development for their assigned group / business unit. As a trusted partner the HR Business Partner will consult with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues, and take a systematic approach and provide practical resolutions to employee relations issues. The HR Business Partner will also participate in company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., salary review, stock renewal, workforce planning, and organizational change), and assists senior management in the development of solutions through organizational development and cultural and process-oriented perspectives. Key skills and abilities include coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis and problem solving.
Responsibilities
* Work as a trusted consultant to managers and provide guidance and solution for employee issues. * Work as a champion for employees and the business. * Conduct objective investigations when needed. * Assist managers in annual employee evaluations. * Assist managers in employee development, retention, and career planning for employees. * Answer questions and facilitate an understanding of job duties, compensation, company policies, etc. to managers and employees. * Identify training needs of managers * Update employee records as needed. * Participate in the employee / new-hire selection process when needed.
Ideal Candidate
**Required Qualifications:** * Bachelors degree in HR Management, Business Management, or a related field required. * Minimum of six (6) years of experience in Human Resources with a focus on Employee Relations, Employee Development, and HR Operations required. * Experience driving strategic HR initiatives required. * Proven experience in the following areas required: * Interpretation and application of company HR policies * Assisting managers in implementation of company HR policies * Employee development * Performance Management * Employee Relations and Conflict Resolution * A strong understanding of federal and state employment laws required. * Excellent communication skills required. * Strong presentation experience skills required. **Preferred Qualifications:** * A MBA or a Masters degree in HR Management preferred. * PHR / SPHR certification preferred. * Experience working a technology company preferred. * Experience as a HP Business Partner for engineering business units preferred.
