Summary
This Mobile Product Manager Senior will be a part of the team that will build next generation of mobile products using a mixture of mobile web and device-native apps. Responsible for assessing market conditions, gathering voice of the customer, competitive analysis and defining features or functions for the mobile, identify new mobile product candidates. Responsible for the ongoing development, design and maintenance of software products.
Responsibilities
* Oversee market research to determine ways to competitively enhance product capabilities. * Determine the best way for software to work to enhance functionality and user satisfaction. * Work with design team to organize and evaluate results from usability studies. * Evaluate how variations in the product design can impact its overall effectiveness. * Contribute and prioritize the mobile product roadmap and mobile ecosystem based on voice of the customer * Responsible for management of our mobile app digital solutions, from strategic planning through execution to launch. * Drive the enterprise strategy, business case development, solution design, feature prioritization and delivery of capabilities to competitively enhance Anthem’s digital applications * Act as an agile mobile product owner. * Prioritizes requirements, defects, and other work items for the technical teams * Use market and stakeholder feedback, consumer research, web analytics, and regulatory standards to determine the strategies and approaches necessary to deliver compliant solutions that increase member satisfaction and drive improved health care outcomes * Develop and promote strategies and solutions that align with overall enterprise and business unit goals, objectives, and expectations * Develop mobile product launch plans with key deliverables, milestones, and assigned accountability * Identify stakeholder needs, negotiate priorities between repeating stakeholder factions, and then collaborate with developers to ensure that the requirements are implemented effectively * Manages requirements dependencies with other teams, negotiating and reprioritizing as appropriate * Define key performance metrics and utilize analysis of web analytics and other data and research to monitor performance and influence the mobile product strategy/roadmap * Define needs around consumer research and usability studies designed to validate proposed solutions * Integrate capabilities across the suite of Anthem digital solutions, as well as other external partner mobile solutions * Provide and report status of key initiatives to senior level leadership * Collaborate with and set direction for key marketing, business, technology, and user experience design partners to secure project alignment and effective execution * Be a subject matter expert in mobile enterprise solutions, competitive and market trends, and organizational business needs * Provide direction on appropriate positioning/marketing messaging for various stakeholder groups (members, clients, providers, internal business stakeholders, third party agencies, etc) * Manage external vendors and service providers and support RFP and other prospective client activities
Ideal Candidate
* Requires a BA/BS degree; * Minimum 3-5 years of experience in mobile product management with a quantitative analysis focus; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. * Minimum 3-5 years’ experience working as a product owner within a scaled agile framework development environment * Knowledge, experience, and proficiency in Product Owner/Management standards and practices (Agile, Scrum, Pragmatic Marketing) * Expertise in various AGILE software collaboration tools such as Jira or TFS * Experience with multiple full project lifecycles, from concept to delivery * Strong technical abilities and analytical skills, with deep understanding of the mobile platform space * Detail-oriented, able to bring clarity to complex situations, and skilled at bridging the gap between technical and non-technical audiences * Prior health care experience and either formal training or related experience in user experience management is preferred. * Expertise in business case development, agile development methodology, collaborating with business and technical teams. * Experience in a mobile app and mobile web strategy, software solutions and marketing capacity, health insurance industry experience preferred. * Proven track record of analysis, planning and execution of consumer solutions. * Experience in a direct to consumer (DTC) capacity preferred. * Background in solution design, user experience and development process of web properties, mobile assets and digital tools. * Experience working in a virtual matrix environment with cross functional teams in areas such as operations, IT, finance, product, and legal. * Experience managing external vendors and service providers.
