Summary
The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for defining the SCIO product solution offering positioning, developing the go-to-market strategy, value proposition, and content to support market awareness, demand generation, pipeline development and sales enablement. Conduct market and customer research and analysis to position appropriately for the target market/buyer and competitor differentiation, product usage, areas of improvement opportunity; Manage new product messaging and launch process; Collaborate to develop integrated marketing programs; Interface with solution services components that support and enhance product lines; Provide on-going product line support (e.g., training, product recommendations) for sales and solution services. This role works very closely with other product management, solution services and marketing functions to drive enterprise market success. Must be able to work across boundaries and communicate with all areas of the company to clarify the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer as it related to the overall SCIO positioning and brand.
Responsibilities
* Drive product marketing plans, and create comprehensive tools and content to support the sales and solution services organizations' efforts to sell and implement SCIO’s product offerings * Conceptualize and develop captivating and unique industry content and messages, including thought leadership white papers, web content, product specific presentations, demonstrations, brochures, surveys, articles, competitive analysis, sales kits, customer testimonials, sales tools, case-studies, articles, and other “outbound” marketing materials * Lead product releases and launch process * Highly knowledgeable of the competitive landscape and key differentiators * Develop solution specific marketing plans in support of the go-to-market strategy * Develop and maintain positioning statements for SCIO’s products * Act as subject matter expert for product marketing programs and campaigns * Work closely with the marketing team to develop internal/external communication plans (i.e. web, contributed articles, speaking engagements/webinars, etc.) * Recommend marketing vehicles to include industry events, webinars, web and print advertising programs, online/eMarketing activities, etc. * Coordinate with others to ensure successful and targeted execution of various demand generation activities including: events, web seminars, direct mail, email, and sponsorship activities. * Participate in customer interactions as required in support of business development and revenue objectives * Work closely with sales and customers to ensure the marketing materials are causing the desired outcome
Ideal Candidate
* BA or BS Degree in Marketing, Business, and Related Health Care Field required (MBA in Marketing desirable) * 5 years of product marketing experience preferably in healthcare IT (with at least 3 years proven track-record of guiding and leading software products through best-practice product marketing processes) * Experience with Pragmatic Marketing Framework * Strong Microsoft Windows skills required, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel * Experience with software tools including SalesForce.com (or related CRM system); experience with a product management/market requirements development tool * Extremely driven individual that is able to successfully execute on multiple tasks simultaneously * Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills * Ability to interface in a professional manner with cross-functional team and vendors to achieve agreed-to objectives and maximize results while staying within budget * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas simply and creatively; must possess the ability to communicate at all levels with tact and discretion * Ability to prioritize among competing opportunities; ability to balance customer needs with technical and business priorities * Ability to travel up to 25%
