**The successful profile for the Product Manager would include the following characteristics:**
* Proven ability to bring product to market, managing products and product portfolios throughout their life cycle from concept through end of life.
* Demonstrated experience capturing product requirements and documenting needs in both workflow and agile development environments.
* Demonstrated experience capturing voice of the customer and balancing customer needs with corporate objectives, partner requirements, and other product inputs.
* Strong technical background: working knowledge of contemporary development methodologies and enterprise product implementation requirements.
* Strong communication skills – both written and verbal, effectively tailoring communications to convey information and excitement to a wide variety of audiences, both technical and non-technical; as well as leaders, influencers, customers, and colleagues.
* Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively get along with and lead diverse personalities across multiple locations around the world.
* Experience working within an international indirect sales model, ideally through hardware-based partner sales channels.
* Experience working with 3rd party vendors to develop or integrate products into an existing product portfolio including negotiating terms of use and cost of goods.
* Willingness/ability to travel (domestic and international)
**The successful profile for the Product Manager preferably also includes the following characteristics:**
* Previous product management experience with Print products. In addition, experience with Capture products preferred.
* Strong financial skills – including establishing product price, ASP analytics, cost of sales (i.e. royalty management), etc.
* Ability in UX design including usability, flow, and wire-framing to clearly communicate conceptual designs.
* Previous product management experience with hosted or cloud-based offerings, subscription models, and/or “middleware” solutions.
* Experience managing a product SDK/APIs with community derived solutions integrating back into core platform
* Experience working within or with large, multi-national companies as an employee, partner, and/or customer
* Thorough knowledge of contracting and licensing processes with the ability to effectively design, implement, train, and drive adoption of new pricing strategies and license models.
* Working knowledge of drafting contracts, EULA, and other legal language with previous experience working with legal teams to ensure products are fully protected and terms of use clearly defined.
* Served as product manager for an enterprise-class product in any of the following markets: Content Management, Document Capture, Business Process Automation, Enterprise Resource Planning, Output Management, or Enterprise Mobile applications.
* Experience working within a Product Management Framework (such as SiriusDecisions PMM model) with proven success in delivering customer-centric product offerings optimized for direct and indirect sales channels.
* Technical and/or or field knowledge in the Office Document Hardware (multifunction devices and printers) segment (i.e. Xerox, Ricoh, HP, etc).
* Experience with Agile and Waterfall Software development methodologies with working level knowledge of Software Project Management systems such as VersionOne and Team Foundation Server.

* A successful Product Manager at Nuance Document Imaging has excellent communication, organization, and time management skills. He/she is able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while clearly articulating project purpose, status, and decision points. He/She is a problem solver that does not shy away from challenges and is comfortable leading a diverse group of professionals to achieve product goals.
* This candidate must feel comfortable in front of both small and large audiences, internally, partners, and customers. He/She will be able to effectively present vision, strategy, roadmap, as well as highly technical product details and training sessions. He/she must also be strong listeners, understanding the feedback that is being given as well as conveying a sense of respect and value to those sharing their ideas. That being said, the Product Manager must also be able to distinguish between want and need, and effectively prioritize asked and unasked needs against each other and balanced against corporate goals, foundational investments, and existing commitments.
**The ideal candidate will also have:**
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management.
* Strong team player (co-working with engineering groups, sales & marketing, services, support, and back-office teams).
* A background in software, engineering, marketing, or equivalent.
**Education:**
* An undergraduate degree or equivalent is required; a Master's in Software, Engineering, Business or MBA is preferred.
