Summary
This position will be responsible for managing and supporting the organizational needs and the Site location. This role will implement directly and through other HR Business Partners and will help the HR team deliver a high caliber of service to the organization. This role will lead the Human Resources function for a site location and perform as a HR Business Partner supporting key leaders and business groups and act as a SME on Employee Relations, Compliance and Ethics. This position will also be required to perform the full spectrum of HR generalist / leadership duties.
Responsibilities
* Provide support, advice and counsel to key stake holders, Leadership, and employees regarding personnel practices, policy, and employment laws and provides recommended courses of action. * Support investigations and inquiries involving a broad range of business management subject matters and/or personnel situations (e.g. claims of harassment, policy violations, etc.). * Administer a broad range of tasks including resolving complaints, counseling supervisors and employees on the interpretation of policies, procedures. * Monitor business practices and applies knowledge to ensure compliance with all federal, state, local and company guidelines, laws and employment regulations. * Serve as an HR Business Partner by providing consultative services to the business units and leaders; single HR point of contact providing consistent information serving as a conduit to the businesses served. * Provide excellent and prompt customer service and communication, understanding the business and the people needs; * Develop people strategy, know what drives success, develop initiatives to attract, engage and retain top talent; * Provide pro-active people strategy and tactical support. * Prepare budgetary recommendations that meet departmental goals and provide for effective management of resources. * Provide HR Business Partnership support to key leaders and businesses in the organization. * Manage and develop HR staff members, performing similar and/or interrelated task and activities. * Lead the Human Resource efforts for a site location which include the full spectrum of HR Generalist duties; planning Company events, driving cultural changes and initiatives. * Collaborate with other HR leaders through-out the organization to lead and support key strategic and tactical initiatives. * Deliver anticipatory service and sage advice to the business leaders they serve.
Ideal Candidate
**Required:** * Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Psychology or related fiel * 10 or more years’ experience considered in lieu of education. * Ten (10) or more years’ experience working in a HR Generalist/HRBP role. * Excellent change management, teamwork and leadership skills. * Ability to make formal presentations on a variety of work-related topics on a regular basis required. * Intermediate computer skills (e.g., generating spreadsheet or word processing macros; developing templates for use by other team members; preparing complex graphic presentations; writing and executing basic programs using a programming language). * Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is strongly preferred. **Preferred:** Master’s degree preferred **Physical Demands:** 25% travel domestically via air or land
