Gateway Analytical is a contract analytical laboratory and consulting company offering standard and novel analytical testing techniques to the pharmaceutical, materials science and forensics industries.
Summary
The Technical Marketing Manager will focus on Gateway Analytical and needs to have a scientific or technical background with knowledge of the pharmaceutical development and manufacturing industries. This person is responsible for implementing a structured and focused marketing plan for the Gateway Analytical to position existing services and define new offerings. Main areas of responsibility include strategic planning, writing scientific articles, writing press releases, developing webinar content, tradeshow/event planning, developing content for sales brochures, and enhancing web copy.
Responsibilities
- Design and guide marketing strategy including print, collateral materials and templates, e-marketing communications, web pages and overall campaign development - Oversee effective web and social media presence - Organize and oversee effective PR and branding activities as well as events and tradeshows - Prepare content for service related webinars and host webinars with the scientific team - Define, identify and, with the sales team, pursue target customers to grow the business - Develop campaigns within SalesForce and manage lead to sales conversions - Set up Quotations and Forecast using SalesForce - Anticipate sales needs, provide usable solutions and conduct sales training on product lines - Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, lines, or services, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends - Coordinate marketing campaigns, branding activities and policies to promote products and services - Produce and execute a launch plan with workable timeframe and internal support that aligns with sales forecast - Develop posters and scientific presentations as needed
Ideal Candidate
- Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills including formal presentation and technical writing - Ability to effectively work under tight deadlines, manage projects independently and handle a variety of assignments simultaneously - Team-leadership skills; Excellent people skills and an upbeat and enthusiastic attitude - Resourcefulness in solving problems good judgment and comfortable with decision making - Superior professionalism and judgment with both internal colleagues and external customers - Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail - Strong computer skills - Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed on assignments. **Experience/Education Requirements:** - Bachelor's degree in business or marketing-related degree or equivalent professional qualification; MBA preferred - At least 5 years experience as a Product Manager or Marketing Manager in a related industry - Experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining marketing strategies from concept to market - Experience working with a direct sales group - Technical writing and communication skills necessary - Proven experience in customer and market research
