The Aerospace Account Manager will maintain the relationship between the local offices and assigned Aerospace clients. Responsible for maintaining day-to-day servicing relationship with client decision-makers. This position requires an organized, self-starter to effectively provide insurance brokerage and risk management services to new and existing commercial accounts. Monitor insurance and risk management needs, recommend appropriate coverage, and ensure that technical specialists are brought in when necessary.
Secures the renewal of existing business with assigned accounts. May identify, solicit, and develop new business with existing clients. Responsible for collections, record keeping, and quality of service provided to clients so that the assigned book of business is profitable.
- Produces new business through networking, prospecting and communicating with current clients
- Contacts existing clients to ensure quality service is being delivered
- Identifies and monitors insurance and risk management needs of prospective or current clients
- Conducts needs assessment with current and potential customers
- Identifies and presents appropriate services to client
- Participates in targeted public relations activities
- Maintains extensive market relationships
- Develops account strategies, presentations, and other forms of communication with client
- Prepares and delivers underwriting submissions
- Negotiate new and renewal insurance terms and conditions with underwriters
- Maintains account documentation and correspondence
- Negotiates responsive programs and service agreement rates
- Provides customer service, including resolving customer inquiries and problems
- Establishes procedures for claims administration and loss prevention activity
- 5 years’ experience within the insurance industry; preferred
- Aviation experience; preferred
- Insurance broker’s P&C license; required
- Knowledge of Insurance and/or Brokerage business
- Knowledge of principles and processes of business management
- Technical knowledge of insurance contracts/structure
- Technical knowledge of Aviation product area or and industry
- Knowledge of principles and methods involved in selling services
