Summary
The Campus Operations Coordinator leads the enrollment and registration process for all students, and is responsible for the maintenance of all student records. As a member of the operations team, this position will directly support the administrative needs of instructional and leadership staff related to student records, while also assisting the Campus Operations Manager with the coordination of campus operations.
Responsibilities
* Organize, manage, and lead the enrollment, registration and withdrawal process for all students; * Manage student records, including the creation and maintenance of all student cumulative folders and ensuring the confidentiality of such files; * Under the direction of the Operations Manager, coordinates the creation of campus master schedule and all student schedules; * Collect and maintain student and staff attendance data; * Maintain and monitor student data in all state systems, including PEIMS data entry in SIS system; * Serve as a liaison between campus personnel and Home Office regarding student information; * Coordinate food services, including processing reduced lunch applications and distributing balance letters; * Produce academic and cultural reports for Leadership Team members; * Work with the Campus Operations Manager to oversee monthly grade verification and reporting; * Ensure the consistent and accurate distribution of student information to all responsible personnel of special programs; * Work with college counselors to audit student transcripts and extract necessary data to make student course recommendations; * Compile and maintain complex records and reports involving a large number of unit records and a large volume of changes; * Coordinate front desk activities such as student office aides and parent volunteers; * Cover front desk and reception area when necessary; * Additional duties as assigned. **Professional Expectations:** * Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible; * Participate in workshops, seminars, and conferences to enhance knowledge and skills; * Demonstrate knowledge, and support of YES Prep Schools’ mission, values, standards, policies and procedures, confidentiality standards, Employee Field Guide expectations, and code of ethical behavior as stated in the Field Guide; * Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws, local board policies, administrative guidelines, and the Texas Educators’ Code of Ethics; * Serve as appropriate role model for YES Prep colleagues, students, staff, and parents; * Conduct self in a professional manner at all times; * Ability to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice, with little to no direction; * Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with others.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution, strongly preferred * In the absence of a Bachelor’s Degree, candidate must have at least three years of professional work experience at YES Prep **Skills and Mindsets:** * Bilingual in Spanish (required); * Belief in and commitment to the mission and core value of YES Prep Public Schools; * Openness to giving and receiving frequent feedback; * Demonstrated ability to work on a team; * A dedication to learn, grow, and develop as a professional; * Belief that every student can and will achieve; * Ability to work urgently in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment; * Strong written communication skills; * Ability to juggle multiple tasks and initiatives at once; * Detail-oriented and self-directed; * Initiator, problem-solver, and creative thinker; * Ability to maintain emotional control under stress. **Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:** * Frequent prolonged and irregular hours of duty * Some light manual labor * Endure inclement weather conditions to provide for student safety
