Summary
We are seeking a talented Claims Assistant to provide administrative support to our Claims professionals and assist with claim data entry and maintenance of claim workload, while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Responsibilities
* Assists professional staff by obtaining information necessary to properly handle claims * Complete data entry transactions for claims processing * Maintenance and organization of Professional’s imaged files * Process Letters * Telephone and mail duties * Photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, etc. * Send appropriate notification and documentation to our reinsurers * Send acknowledgement to our agents, brokers and insureds, as required * Complete outside assignments to Independent Adjusters and Attorneys, as required * Perform other duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate
* Good oral and written communication skills required (telephone, e-mail and interpersonal) * 2+ years claims clerical experience preferred * Decision making, prioritizing, and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently * High school graduate * Word and Excel skills * Good customer service skills
