We are seeking a talented Claims Assistant to provide administrative support to our Claims professionals and assist with claim data entry and maintenance of claim workload, while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Assists professional staff by obtaining information necessary to properly handle claims
- Complete data entry transactions for claims processing
- Maintenance and organization of Professional’s imaged files
- Process Letters
- Telephone and mail duties
- Photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, etc.
- Send appropriate notification and documentation to our reinsurers
- Send acknowledgement to our agents, brokers and insureds, as required
- Complete outside assignments to Independent Adjusters and Attorneys, as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Good oral and written communication skills required (telephone, e-mail and interpersonal)
- 2+ years claims clerical experience preferred
- Decision making, prioritizing, and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- High school graduate
- Word and Excel skills
- Good customer service skills
