Summary
As a member of the Corporate Communications team, the Communications Specialist provides strategic communications counsel to a variety of internal clients. Develops key messaging and tactical plans for communicating to a variety of internal audiences using corporate channels according to the organization’s defined processes and standards. The Specialist ensures consistency in messaging and tone and creates content of moderate complexity, including communication plans, leadership communications and content for internal publications. The position may be filled at a higher level depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Consults with internal clients on communications needs, creates strategic communications plans and materials, addressing relevant audiences and taking into consideration required resources. Effectively supports implementation of plans. - Identifies relevant communications engagement opportunities across the Company, works with leaders to plan and implement, and evaluates their effectiveness. - Manages and develops content for internal corporate publications, including leadership publications, the weekly employee newsletter and other channels including the Company intranet sites - Develops content as needed, including research, writing, formatting, proofreading, and publication/distribution - Reviews and assists with creation of leadership presentations for internal audiences - Serves as a liaison between internal clients and third-party vendors including graphic designers, photographers and videographers; manages production process and edits/reviews - As needed, plans and coordinates special events and photo shoots, and performs a variety of administrative duties related to corporate communications project coordination.
Ideal Candidate
**Education** - Minimum undergraduate degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, English or related field required. **Experience** - Minimum 2 years of experience producing communications for a variety of channels and audiences in either corporate environment or leading public relations firm.
