Summary
IT Business Analyst with primary focus on Finance, procurement, and/or distribution functions. This position should be a subject matter expert and is responsible for supporting the needs of the company’s internal business customers in these areas. This position is responsible for understanding business-driven needs and lead the technology solutions and enhancements in a large part, being driven by JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (Version 9.1). This position will work with IT, business department heads, and end users to implement system changes and resolve issues from concept through implementation.
Responsibilities
* Understand business needs in the context of the business’s desired results and objectives. Review and analyze user business processes and develop appropriate IT solutions * Provide comprehensive analysis and recommendations with regards to functional design and implementation strategies in a global environment. * Identify, evaluate, and develop system recommendations and procedures that enhance or support the Company's business and operations. *Work closely with users to identify areas where system functionality can be leveraged to drive business process efficiencies. Assist in the implementation of process improvements. * Develop functional requirements for reports, interfaces, conversions and enhancements as they relate to financial applications (Finance and Procurement primarily, with ability to expand to other areas over time. * Prepare and maintain all application documentation to support development activities. * Provide functional support in Unit and Integration Testing. Create and execute Test Scripts and address testing defects. * Provide functional support in Data Conversion activities, especially identifying legacy system Data * Elements, cleansing and mapping, and participating in loading and reconciling into JDE. Leverage the Oracle User Productivity Kit (UPK) to create training materials and documents. * Troubleshoot issues and system bugs and provide direction for work-arounds, corrections and enhancements. * Support project initiatives in the business functional area throughout their lifecycle * Provide support in Cut-Over and Post Go Live support activities. * Communicate progress and expected delivery dates with key stakeholders. * Ensure availability and performance of business applications.
Ideal Candidate
* 1-3 years of hands-on JDE experience * Preferred areas of focus: G/L, Fixed Assets, Job Costing and Reporting. * Experience in a multi company shared environment, using multi-currency and intercompany transactions a plus * Strong understanding of the JDE database Should be able to provide configuration recommendations and assist with report design. * ERW report development skills a plus. * Proficient in Microsoft Access * Excellent analytical and problem solving skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills **Qualifications** * Minimum Requirements: College degree in a Technical or a related field and 2-4 years professional level experience; or 6+ years professional level related Technical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Technical experience required.
