Summary
we are seeking qualified candidates for a Materials Manager opening to join our Tulsa, OK manufacturing organization.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for the Tulsa plant’s production scheduling, master scheduling, and Engineering Change Notice tracking * Coordinate the build schedule with corporate planning and develop optimal operational plans that incorporate manufacturing constraints. * Work with manufacturing and other teams to optimize total cost by manipulating the schedule to maintain finished goods inventory targets * Lead system development including Schedule Constraint System and Broadcast Systems * Coach and develop the materials planning team and supplier quality engineers * Develop projects to increase efficiency, inventory accuracy and schedule actualization. * Report to plant leadership on production status and identify countermeasures. * Serve as a point of contact for Tulsa’s finished goods distribution center and 3rd party partners like Penske * Consistently ensure that area job responsibilities are promptly and efficiently carried out and nurtures a high level of staff performance. * Prioritize and organize short term and long term goals and activities in accordance with business objectives. * Ensure strict adherence to all Whirlpool manufacturing standards/methods. * Urgently address opportunities for improvement relative to Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery metrics and talent development.
Ideal Candidate
* Strong understanding of lean principles and methodologies with a proven track record in driving continuous improvement via lean tools * Proven ability to grow individual and organization competency through proactive coaching and mentoring * Outstanding communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills * Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills * Demonstrated success in a cross functional teaming environment where multi -tasking is required * PC proficient in MS Office and SAP * Proven ability to drive transformational change * Bachelor's degree required: operations management, logistics or similar preferred * A minimum of five years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
