Summary
The Network Optimization Planning Manager is responsible for collaborating with the Corporate Planning Manager to maintain US and international finished goods inventories at their target level while achieving our company case fill targets. The Network Optimization Manager will be responsible for the deployment of finished goods throughout Amy’s 3PL networks. The Network Optimization Planning Manger will collaborate with peer planning managers to configure Quintiq to optimize our performance across Amy’s supply chain.
Responsibilities
* Provide in-depth analysis of how our supply chain can be reconfigured to optimize our performance leveraging the power of our planning systems. * Manage domestic and international planning activities to determine the overall manufacturing requirements that are passed to the plants to schedule production * Manage deployment of finished goods to the 3PL network consistent with the routing guides from Logistics with intermodal targets by lane. * Manage the proactive inventory aging process to minimize the quantity of finished goods that are donated or destroyed. * Collaborate with Sales to develop secondary channels to run out overstocked items. * Publish key performance indicators for the management of inventory as it relates to our case fill performance. Track performance improvements from the continual refinement of the Quintiq planning system. * Ensure the Quintiq system data is maintained so that the recommendations are correct and rigorously followed. * Provide technical assistance to the design of the Quintiq and DAX interfaces to facilitate a seamless integration. * It is the responsibility of all employees to uphold the mission of the Amy’s Food Safety and Quality Policy. This includes following all Food Safety and Sustainability programs and participating in all required training **Supervisory Responsibilities** This job supervises the following areas: * Domestic and International planners to determine our overall manufacturing requirements by category * Deployment from the plants to the 3PL networks overall requirements by category
Ideal Candidate
**Qualifications** * Strong computer skills. * Microsoft Excel – 8-10 years. * Advanced Planning System – 8-10 years * Strong English Skills (both written and verbal) required. **Education and/or Experience** * Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Operations Management, Planning or APICS courses preferred. **Language Skills** * Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. * Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. * Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. * Effective communication skills with all levels of the organization.
