Summary
Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for clerical and administrative duties in the Human Resources Department. Responsibilities require advanced computer and clerical skills, ability to solve problems on own, desire to learn new responsibilities and to be flexible. The Human Resources Assistant will interact with all team members. Due to the nature of the position, confidentiality and high moral and ethical standards are a must.
Responsibilities
* Provide clerical support to the Human Resources Department on a daily basis and to the organization as needed. Including but not limited to: * Answer incoming phone calls * Filing * Employment verifications, both orally and written * Sort paychecks; attach information to paychecks; and mailing paychecks as requested. * Process all terminations and complete all necessary documentation. * Serve as a translator for the department in written, reading and oral communications. * Understand and communicate company policies. * New Hire responsibilities: * Check in new hires at the beginning of orientation and collect new hire paperwork. * Make file folders for all new hires and benefit eligible team members. * Prepare new hire orientation paperwork as needed. * Prepare new hire schedule and locker assignment. * Assist team members with questions and concerns regarding any HR related issues/function. * Support other HR Team Members in their job responsibilities and serve as a backup. * Assist other HR Team Members with research projects and/or special projects. * Other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
* Associates Degree is preferred. * Two years related experience in Human Resources position is preferred. * Ability to read, write and speak English and Spanish. * Excellent written and oral communication skills both for one on one situation as well as in group learning settings. * Must be detailed oriented. * Strong interpersonal skills. * Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. * Able to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines. * Advanced computer skills. May include MS Office, Google Docs, Gmail, Kronos Timekeeping, Ceridian HRIS, and Cyperquery Launchpad for reporting. * Must be able to work extended hours and weekends if needed.
