Summary
Our corporate office in Clearfield, UT is seeking a Digital Communications Specialist to add to our team. The Digital Communications Specialist is a valued member of the Corporate Communications team, responsible for developing digital strategy, executing, managing, tracking and integrating all aspects of corporate social media and internal and external websites.
Responsibilities
- Social Media – development of campaigns, creation of content to support editorial calendar, business needs, employee engagement, ethics, marketing, community, conservation and environmental awareness. Monitors social media for trending topics and possible crisis mitigation. Assists with social media onboarding training on corporate social media policy. Serves as department expert on social media best practices and Vista Outdoor Crisis Communications protocols. - Internal and External Websites – Liaison with corporate functions including communications, brands, media and investor hosted sites to create content to support editorial calendar, business needs, employee engagement and shareholder value that is fresh, relevant and timely. - Monitoring and Analytics –corporate social media channels and websites to ensure relevance and timeliness, gauge effectiveness of messaging including surveys and crisis mitigation and make recommendations and adjustments as needed. Use social media monitoring tools, meta data and tagging for website SEO to improve company’s digital presence. - Corporate Programs and Campaigns – support the development of campaigns, create content and project management of recurring and new programs, including Corporate Social Responsibility, Scholarship Program, United Way, Conservation and environmental programs and initiatives. - Process and Continuous Improvement – understanding of processes for digital communications, finding ways to update processes in keeping with technology advancements and best practices and cross-training of members of the corporate communications and brand social media teams across the organization. Researches and develops social media and website enhancements based on user feedback and technology enhancements. Help ensure corporate Brand Standards and key messages are consistent across all communications. - Events – support corporate, community and business events on behalf of the corporation and/or brands and functions – event planning, coordination, execution. - Ongoing education - Collaboration with and understanding of other corporate communications functions to assist as needed and continued training on IT tools used by Corporate Communications to get external and internal messaging to appropriate audiences; improve understanding and action.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree with minimum three years’ experience in a fast paced, communications/marketing environment including social media and web. - Proven experience with social media for business including best practices, monitoring and analytics, crisis communication planning and execution. - Outstanding writing skills, including the ability to author original content, edit content received from others and handle quality control and proofreading for a high volume workload. - Ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging messages for different communications vehicles and audiences. - Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts to get things done, while managing multiple projects, often in an accelerated timeframe. - Excellent project management skills. Understanding of web analytics and social media reporting. - Familiarity with publishing, web and social media tools/platforms, basic photo editing. - Self-starter; ability to succeed and deliver results with minimal supervision. **Additional Desirable:** - SharePoint, WordPress, Microsoft Outlook Suite, Google Analytics, social media monitoring tools
