Summary
The primary responsibility of the Financial Systems Project Manager is to lead a portfolio of projects under the purview of the Financial Systems Group, successfully from inception to completion. The portfolio includes system implementations (custom and off the shelf), accounting process initiatives, due diligence, and business integration and optimization efforts. The project manager ensures the team is meeting timelines and deliverable requirements, while tracking status under a well-organized PMO methodology. The Project Manager coordinates and prioritizes project tasks, manages timelines, maintains project plans & issue lists and communicates to projects stakeholders and Management as required.
Responsibilities
* Managing multiple concurrent complex and multi-phased implementations while consistently following best practice implementation methodology and documentation standards. * Understanding the impact current projects have on in-place production systems; most importantly Oracle eBusiness Suite. * Ensuring projects meet the specified requirements and documentation standards under an agile, water faill or stage gate processes as required. * Facilitating or participating in team meetings with the goal of creating accurate, complete, and timely meeting minutes, action plans, and issue lists. * Ensuring the ability to understand the Financial implications to the Company and Technology implications to Financial Systems Team in support of Accounting, Finance and the enterprise at large initiative’s. * Provide excellent documentation and presentation standards and a mastery of Excel, MProjects, PowerPoint, etc.. * Scope management, change management, estimating impacts of scope change on timeline and deliverables. Escalating issues while maintaining control of the project. * Balancing deliverables and initiatives scheduling across the group, resource leveling and presenting project portfolio department wide. * Ability to facilitate/lead/present on-site to travel to remote office locations & meetings. * Identifies, manages and mitigates risk throughout the project and keep stakeholders aware of the risks. * Ensures that project management methodology is followed by the project team and enforce project standards. * Develops and tracks key project milestone deliverables and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of projects and project stakeholders. * Develops and delivers status reports, requirements documentation and presentations. * Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. Including ensuring sign off is obtained as required in each stage gate process or SDLC approach. * Manages stakeholder expectations, facilitate communications, tracks issues and works with team to come up with issues resolution design and mitigation. * Travel: Travel is required (25%) * Project Management: Responsible for providing Engagement Managers and/or clients with updated implementation plans, which may include project schedules, project plans, benchmark metrics, communications documents, follow-up memo’s, etc. * Documentation: Responsible for utilizing (and creating) documents/deliverables necessary for providing exceptional services and ensuring communication of the project plan to the Engagement Manager and/or client. Assist team in updating all implementation deliverables as required with new functionality rollouts. Create new deliverables/best practices for implementation services to enhance implementation engagements. Must be able to create new deliverables or follow standards of deliverables already in place.

He/she must be a self-starter, who is able to work in a fast paced dynamic environment. They must possess initiative to produce improvement initiatives both internally and with clients. Additionally, they must possess the following qualifications: * Assess/evaluate client requirements against scope of project, manage project plan and schedule. * Strong experience with Oracle EBS * Finance background, familiar with accounting, monthly close, financial reporting * Ensure customer satisfaction through follow-up, client responsiveness, and thorough communication. * Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks and schedules simultaneously. * Ability to command a group of individuals in a room quickly and be assertive in a public environment. * Strong communication skills including ability to work with all levels of the organization (development, sales, marketing, operations and within the Professional Services Group). * Ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment in a team and individually. * Strong focus on team environment. * Troubleshooting is another required skill; responsibility for detecting potential issues and implementing solutions when issues threaten to delay the timeline or impact budget or business operations. * Information Technology, Project Manager Skills and Qualifications: * EBS r12, Technical Management, Technical Understanding, Analyzing Information , Informing Others, Staffing, Problem Solving, Developing Budgets, Coordination, Strategic Planning, Quality Management
