- Ensure timely and accurate billing with minimum rework. Proactively works with the Collections department to establish appropriate feedback/control loops to avoid uncollectible invoices.
- Proactively identify and implement opportunities to improve the timeliness, accuracy, and cost effectiveness of the billing function, leading to faster invoice-to-cash cycle time.
- Responsible for attaining operational SLA by ensuring correct staffing to meet work volumes on a daily basis and by leveraging automated processes wherever possible/practical.
- Improves team’s understanding of business processes and knowledge to enable higher levels of performance, productivity and efficiency.
- Consults with customers, sales teams and order management to enhance and improve the customer billing experience.
- Monitors and communicates performance results and trends to team; develops performance improvement plans.
- Assists the team in developing and implementing team/individual metrics in support of organizational and process goals.
- Responsible for promoting team diversity and managing inter-personal conflicts.
- Ensures staff works within the established guidelines of the organization.
- Fosters team building and group dynamics, provide career development planning and opportunities.
- Develops and delivers timely objectives and performance appraisals to team.
- Leads the team by exhibiting role model behavior.
Education:
- College degree or equivalent, related work experience
Experience:
- Five (5) years’ experience in Billing, Order Management, Collection.
- Five (5) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity, preferably in a service environment managing non-exempt level associates
Skills:

Requires effective negotiation, communication and customer service skills

Understand and promotes the use of EDI across the customer base

Pursues automation as the key means to enhance productivity in billing

Must have ability to lead and inspire a team to exceed objectives

Requires excellent Excel skills
