Summary
We are looking for a Manager of Billing & Collections. This manager will work in the Billing Operations team to deliver accurate, timely and comprehensible invoices to customers and drive collection of outstanding balances through exemplary customer service. The successful candidate will be an inspiring leader who manage complex functions, think creatively, and solve problems in a fast pace environment.
Responsibilities
* Manage Billing Operational processes to increase effectiveness, efficiency and in compliance with organizational goals.. * Create and/or facilitate the creation of training guides, internal processes and quality assurance policies. * Implement an effective framework for balancing workload assignments, team member scheduling and work distribution. * Review work and manage performance in accordance with organization policies, procedures and performance management processes. Responsible for coaching, training, and developing team members. * Translates high-level organizational goals to departmental and tactical initiatives. * Drive organizational improvement initiatives (process, procedure & automation) based upon intimate process knowledge, industry best practices and KPI data. * Interface with internal teams to improve process, manage escalations and resolve issues related to billing, rating and collections. * Understand the feature set and services offered within the Bandwidth product catalog to better implement strategic initiatives for the Billing Operations team * Interface with Bandwidth leadership to effectively communicate status, define critical issues & impacts, design mitigation plans, and articulate / drive required decisions. * Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments * Assist with the implementation of a new billing system * Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's degree * 5+ years of experience * 2 -3 years of customer service experience * Billing and management experience a + * Strong leader with the ability to prioritize, plan, and direct the department * Proven track record for improving process efficiencies and solving problems * Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently * Strong leadership skills with an ability to motivate direct reports * Able to provide direct, comprehensive, and constructive feedback to team * Ability to communicate complex and/or technical information clearly and concisely to all levels within the organization using tact, common courtesy, persuasion and discretion * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. * Positive attitude is a must!
