The Audience Outreach Representative is responsible for communication to and qualification of prospective clients generated by Marketing Department strategies. These strategies encompass the varying ways The Nerdery’s general audiences engage with the company’s content and services, with the goal of improving the quality of sales leads and extending our brand outreach into the Media Services vertical.
This role will be responsible for follow-up of inbound web leads and phone calls, along with reaching out to leads captured in our Marketing automation funnel. The AOR will review cumulative data generated by marketing automation software to convert these marketing qualified leads to sales qualified leads through an established vetting process. The AOR will set up conference calls for Nerdery Account Executives for potential project needs and capabilities briefings, and will also be responsible for nurturing any leads assigned to them until they become project ready. The Audience Outreach Representative may also act as an ambassador for The Nerdery brand by conducting external non-sales communications with the targeted audience, and off-site at networking events. Additionally, the AOR will partner with internal Marketing teams on strategies, and may provide support to the Marketing and Sales departments in other ways. This purpose is to maximize outreach to the customer-base and increase sales opportunities.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office, Google Drive, and other contact-management software
- Ability to translate prospect and client requests into technical requirements.
- Evaluate and analyze data determine implications or challenges
- Provide a track record of resolving escalated performance management issues
- Demonstrate ability to facilitate effective group interactions
- Demonstrate ability to influence Key Performance Indicators (e.g. Sales Goals)
- Demonstrate experience working across various functions to influence and align to Company strategies
- Exhibited ability to facilitate experimentation and/or creative thinking skills
Education,Experience
- Associate Degree or equivalent experience is required
- Inside Sales experience using consultative selling approach
- Prior sales experience is ideal
- Salesforce and/or Hubspot
