Summary
The Global Marketing Manager will be responsible for the initial launch of a major new product as well as leading the Percutaneous Laparoscopic Surgical Platform including, but not limited to customer insight generation, new product development and pipeline development and execution, launch strategy and planning, launch excellence, and global brand strategy. The Global Marketing Manager will also provide upstream and downstream launch expertise as a subject matter expert across the surgical platform and will be responsible for the launch of a major new product.
Responsibilities
* Lead the successful launch of the flagship product in the Percutaneous Laparoscopy portfolio in North America while enabling the successful global launches of the product. * Lead the customer insights generation process to inform a multi-general product pipeline of future products. * Lead the marketing deliverables of the product development gating process for new products. This will include working on cross-functional project teams and interfacing with physicians to determine market needs and identifying opportunities. * Conduct market surveys, market research, and coordinate product evaluations to fully inform customer requirements. * Responsible for development and support of global strategy with regard to market needs, training, assessment of market penetration by Teleflex and competitors, coordination of revenue expectations, etc. * Develop tactical plans for product launch excellence and work with global regions to implement plans. * Create product positioning and pricing strategy; provide product messaging; and develop sales support assets such as sales materials, customer presentations, videos, advertisements, and convention materials. * Define appropriate product claims to support the value proposition and coordinate the activities required to support those claims. Work with medical director to create a claims matrix. Will also be responsible for developing and executing on a scientific communications strategy. * Perform global forecasting and launch cadence in alignment with regulatory approvals (FDA and CE Mark) that also reflect regional commercialization plans. * Monitor complaint data and field reports for new product launches. * Develop global brand strategy that is applicable in each region to drive growth for existing brands. * Attend major conventions and regional meetings as required. * Be a team player and take on additional responsibilities as required. * Adhere to and ensure the adherence of Teleflex Code of Ethics, all Company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
Ideal Candidate
* Four year College degree, MBA preferred. * 7+ years marketing experience required * Minimum of 5+ years in healthcare industry * 2+ years of clinical experience with surgical medical devices in the OR setting preferred * Medical Device sales experience a plus. * Led a previous healthcare product launch * Experience in market category creation a plus * Experience in local brand marketing (line marketing) with responsibility for a brand or portfolio of brands within a country or region. * Prior Global Marketing experience preferred * Experience in insights generation, portfolio management, brand strategy, new product development, market research, positioning, messaging, and segmentation. * Previous involvement in developing evidence to support marketing claims. * Understands new product development processes and the medical regulatory environment * Clinical knowledge of general and GYN surgical procedures * Knowledgeable and experienced in Laparoscopic Surgery * Advanced communication skills resulting in the ability to gain alignment with senior management and to work with colleagues to drive consensus on product line decisions. * Ability to drive focus and prioritization * Strategic thinker who knows the importance of flawless execution * Self-starter, know how to approach the job, passionate about the industry * Able to work in a lean environment without a large infrastructure behind him/her
