Summary
Job responsibilities may include some or all of the following responsibilities: Responsible for directing the development of company marketing programs. Responsible for assessment of existing and potential markets, new therapeutic or geographical opportunities, product life cycle planning, market research, coordination of technical product development, development of product strategies and promotional activities, product launch, pricing and segmentation, as applicable. Activities may include technical sales support, product advertising/promotion, planning and analysis, developing and implementing multiple channel programs, demand planning and forecasting requirements, and directing the development of company market requirements for specific product(s) or product line(s) or businesses. Understands key market drivers and coordinate financial planning processes including LRP(long range planning), Plan, Update and portfolio assessments supporting organizational prioritization and planning. Directs activities to address broad business implications including healthcare environment, regulatory dynamics and customer need.
Responsibilities
**Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.** * Develops and executes strategy for product line(s) in an effective manner while providing direction and guidance to meet strategic plan needs. * Participates in or drives strategic and financial planning/forecasting for products and markets * Recruits, coaches and develops organizational talent. * Fosters a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives. * Keeps the organization's strategic intent at the forefront of planning, decision making and action. * Builds strategic partnerships to further business objectives. * Monitors compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. compliance with FDA, BSI, EEO regulations, etc.). * Develops, monitors and appropriately adjusts the annual budget for department(s). * Has a very strong understanding of concepts and has applied them with great effectiveness. Functions in an independent fashion almost exclusively, needing very little direction. Is being sought out by others for direction and advice. Provides leadership to assigned staff and supervisors by communicating and providing guidance towards achieving business objectives. Creates immediate to long-range plans to carry out objectives established by top management; develops and calculates a budget for a department or group to meet business goals; forecasts future departmental needs.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's degree required and 8+ years of related work experience or an equivalent. MBA strongly preferred. * Must have a minimum of 8+ years brand management, marketing, market research experience or related work experience and equivalent. * Will perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations. Develops and/or identifies new work processes and the improved utilization of human and material resources within the assigned or related functions or groups; facilitates others' participation in the continuous improvement program; investigates and solves problems that impact work processes and personnel within or across units or departments; develops and communicates a vision for the organizational unit assigned. **Supervisory / Management Responsibilities** * Manages product managers and/or analysts; reports to Marketing director. Manages single large brand, multiple smaller brands, and/or has geographical area of focus. Participates in financial planning processes and executes research to support marketing plans and strategies. Has P&L and budget responsibility. Leads large projects and may lead strategic cross-category projects. Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long- term perspective, for desired results. Provides direction and guidance to employees who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments; evaluates performance of and assists in career development planning for subordinates; often responsible for a centralized staff or professional function of the company.
