Summary
The Clinical Solutions Manager (CSM) will report to the Vice President of Sales Support & Training. The CSM will work with the HL Sales Directors, VP Sales, Account Managers and other sales support staff to assist in growing new business and the client base. The CSM will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) representing HL in the marketplace – a market-facing function. The CSM will also be responsible for pre-sales strategy and planning with the appropriate sales team as well as post-sales client facing activities as needed and described below under “Principle Duties and Responsibilities”. The CSM will be functioning in a matrix environment – supporting both the sales team (non-billable work) and professional services during large client implementations and training (billable work).
Responsibilities
* The CSM will support the sales team and sales/marketing functions to include: * Pre-sales activities: * Account strategy * Identify new opportunities in conjunction with client interaction * Help to organize appropriate internal resources needed to win business * Prepare for large meetings/presentations * Assistance with building sales decks, materials, data for demos * Travel with sales directors for large/strategic meetings with prospects and current clients with large new opportunities * Provide company representation at trade shows/conferences, industry events, speaking engagements, etc. * Author white papers and use cases * Bring external market knowledge into the organization * Work onsite to provide coding and clinical expertise support for customer and provider inquiries, questions, challenges or appeals * Support Professional Services post-sale for the initial client set-up and training in order to transition the client smoothly. These functions include: * Assist in completing the initial deliverables to new clients * Participate in new client kick off meetings * Guide activities, work and client interaction for key HL accounts prior to Clients Services hand off * Work with the development and operations teams to make necessary refinements/improvements in processes or technology that will maximize the effectiveness of Health Language’s products * Analyze complex data issues and ensure that the client’s business context and use cases are taken into consideration for the overall clinical mapping design. * Participate and provide solutions for HL product development and new service offerings, including both software and content, as determined through client engagements and project participation. * Provide go-live support and/or additional client activities as needed during a project lifecycle.
Ideal Candidate
**Education:** * Bachelor's degree in a business-related program preferred or equivalent education and/or experience required. **Experience:** * Clinical background required, nursing or medical background required * Coding experience preferred * Minimum 3-5 years client-facing experience required * Sales support background and experience preferred * Solid coding skills using domestic code sets required, e.g., (HCPCS, APC, CPT, ICD-9-CM and more); knowledge of international code sets desired, e.g., (OPCS, ICD-10, HRG, EBM, GOA and more) * Expertise with healthcare business processes and associated clinical and/or payer application software * Experience and expertise with end user training preferred * Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office * Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills * Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently * Strong team-work focus * Must be able to manage timelines and multiple projects * Proactive, rather than reactive, at solving problems **Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications: (First list requirements, followed by preferences.)** * Excellent time management skills; operates effectively in a deadline-driven environment. * Leverages knowledge and understanding of software products and services. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to be a team player.
