Product Manager III

Client is seeking a Product Manager III. - Hardware Program Manager (Project Jacquard, ATAP) Mountain View - ATAP is a fast-paced, project-focused innovation group. - Projects are developed and executed at the intersection of ambitious science and an urgent user need or application. - As a Hardware Program Manager for the Project Jacquard team, you will drive and support development, prototype and manufacturing ramp efforts of Jacquard hardware including consumer electronics integrating with cutting edge textile technology. - Responsibilities include overseeing the Jacquard hardware development and execution of the industrial design intent and other functional specifications into a reliable and manufactural product. - Excellence in execution, ability to span from creating broad strategies to driving detailed implementation, and a systematic approach to problem solving are required.

* Create, track and maintain schedule and milestones for product hardware development/ * Identify, engage and manage contractors with well-defined milestones * Monitor development progress in all workstreams and flag potential problems * Create and update any documents that describe hardware requirements and specifications. * Follow execution of the product plan * Participate in and/or initiate cross-functional discussions to identify and address dependencies. * Maintain communication with prospective product partners and interested parties

* BA/BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar technical degree. * 5+ years of development experience in consumer hardware, especially mobile devices * 2+ years of experience in the capacity of a hardware engineering lead/manager * 2 references from prior relevant roles * Experience working on in-development hardware projects * Experience working with third-party development partners * Experience working with diverse teams including technical, design and business experts. * Experience working with external manufacturers and managing those relationships
